Radisson Hotel & Apartments Gdansk

Location is perfect, lobby is beautiful. Very clean. Rooms are comfortable and quiet as long as people don't walk in the corridor. Reverberates a lot. Negative, I turned up after midnight. I was told there was a 24/7 reception desk. I waited outside over 20 minutes, ringing the bell, calling the reception. Nobody came or answered. We finally got in once a tourist got in with his pass. We then had to wait another 20 minutes as they were checking in someone who had booked in last minute. not impressive as I specifically chose somewhere with a 24/7 receptionist and was considering sleeping on the floor with my 12 years old. Despite the location, I wouldn't go back.

We were 10 friends travelling in Gdanzk from Iceland with a few staying at this hotel, so conveniently we met there, sitting at the bar outside but had the worst experience during our stay in an otherwise great city, as the supervisor refused 2 guests to sit at an end of a long table, hence we were forced to move elsewhere, when we complained the supervisor challenged us by saying we were drunk. Mind we had just sat down. This is the absolute worst experience our travel group has ever had, and we visit a new city every year and have never in our long lives experienced such "service". My advise, if you travel in a group of 6 or more, stay clear of the bar. Sorry, because the scenery is great. We were welcomed next door in an italian restaurant who treated all of us with courtesy and respect as the senior citizen's we are. Other than this i highly recommend Gdanzk as a culinary worthwhile city with great pricing.

Room and location are great, but the main reason why I booked this hotel is for the spa and pool. Upon arrival I was told that there is no more availability for the pool and spa. Staff was rude and said that I should have informed myself before booking. Very disappointing! Way overpriced for what you get.

We had two rooms, one Family Room with River View and Spa Access, and one Superior Room. The Family Room with River View had an amazing view over the river, and offered almost a full 180 view in our case given how it was constructed (like an enclosed balcony). Nice spacious room, cleaned once a day. Nespresso coffeemaker included, as well as tea and some bottles with juices/lemonade. Small fridge, but it does not cool strongly. Bathroom with sufficient space, and excellent rain shower. No bath tub. Even though we had Spa access, the bathrobes and slippers were not yet provided so we requested those (took them max. 15mins to provide). The main door of this room did not fully close, you always had to double check/push extra. The bed was comfortable. The sofabed was acceptable (for a child/teenager OK), but we have had more comfortable sofabeds/extra beds in other hotels. Large modern television, but we did not use it that much. The Superior Room did not offer River View, instead it was on the other side of the hotel and you essentially looked at another building (with steel beams). The room was of a descent size. Bed is similar to the one in the family room. No Nespresso maker, but instant coffee instead. Tea was available, as was a small fridge. No bottles with juices/lemonade. Bathroom is slightly smaller, but same rain shower. Same size, modern television. None of the rooms had bottled water offered. However, there was drinking water available in the elevator area, and it was indicated you could drink water from the tap. We would have preferred some bottled (sparkling) water in our room though. We parked our cars in the underground garage of the hotel, which was of proper size (spots not too narrow, easy to navigate in/out). Clean, well lit. The street you drive on to get to the hotel/parking crosses a popular/crowded pedestrian area, which means you have to be patient and drive slowly to get to yojr destination. Breakfast was excellent. Good variety at the buffet, and tasty a la carte menu (not that large, but in line with expectations). We went early morning (6:30am), so all offerings available, from sweet to savory, and salats as well. There seems to be little staff to take orders from the a la carte menu, but since we were so early it was still easy to get attended. Note: the swimming pool needs to be booked in advance (per each 1.5h as I recall), and at the end of the day (last timeslot) childeren (<18 years) are not allowed. It opened 9am diring our stay, so as such you need to plan on using it. I personally prefer to have full flexibity and to go whenever (and earlier/later), but appreciate the way this is managed has its advantages too. Lifeguard on site of swimming pool as well. The swimming pool is large enough, maybe 10 - 12,5m in length, and had bubble bath etc. Lockers are available too, but you need to ask for a special key card at the front desk of the Spa (and they do not proactively offer this). This is also where you get towels to use in the swimming area. There are dressing rooms as well. Friendly staff. All spoke English very well.

Good location in the midst of the Old Town. Facilities are a bit old and our room was noisy from the street down below. Gym was very basic and small. Breakfast was a fairly good buffet, no Chef on site (must order through waiters). Loved the restaurant around the corner, Woosabi (Asian Buns & Bowls)

The staff at check in were not very warm or welcoming. I was not offered a room upgrade, was not placed on a high floor as I’d requested in advance, and the whole stay felt quite cold and impersonal. Breakfast was crowded. Housekeeping however was very friendly and helpful.
