Delta Hotels by Marriott Woodbridge

Awful place, I tried to cancel another reservation but they wouldn’t get back to Expedia. Horrible rooms (mildew and mold), noisy, front staff NEVER answers their phone when u call down. NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL. Listen to the bad reviews, they’re the real ones.

Hotel is easily accessible from all major roads in the area with shopping and retail very close by.

Solo business travel experience from this past week. This Marriott property was dingy, dirty, with multiple areas of wear and tear across common spaces and my guest room. The inside/outdoor pools were closed for maintenance with yellow tape around all the pools, dirty water and visible broken areas on the hardscape. The hallway on the 5th floor had splatter stains on the walls that looked to be blood or ketchup that remained my entire 3 day stay. The hallway carpets were not regularly vacuumed. In my room, (523) the bathtub area had large areas where the silver plating was worn off completely on the soap holder, dirty grout and the shower dripped and could not be turned off entirely. The bulbs in the ceiling light sockets in the bathrooms were the wrong size (too small) and the vents were dirty. Housekeeping did not provide new glasswear when the room was freshened for day 2. I used my dirty glasses the entire stay. Last, upon checkout early yesterday at 5am, there was no one at the front desk or anywhere around the entire first floor. The outdoor appearance of the hotel is outdated and worn. I was given no particular reason to not feel safe, but given the busy-ness of the area (no security requirements in the elevator like key swipes) lack of attention to cleanliness, few and lack of general attentiveness by staff, as a female solo business traveler, I was generally uncomfortable the entire stay. I am a loyal Marriott customer and this experience is a far outlier to what I expect and trust from the Marriott franchise, but I would never stay in this hotel again. I will also actively discourage colleagues with the same advice if they come to the area for business travel.

If I could leave them a zero star, I would. It's not as it appears in the photos. Being that I am a Teacher who worked all summer, I just wanted a few days to kick my feet up poolside to reset before Back To School season concludes. Upon checking in at 9pm I read a notice that stated "Pool Closed". When I questioned the front desk staff she confirmed that both pools were closed because it needed to be inspected by the state. When I mentioned how it wasn't posted on the website or its third party booking service, she shrugged her shoulders and replied "you can cancel". Anyone in their right mind would know that it would be very challenging to book another hotel in such short notice at night with an already $850 down the drain. Strike 1. Although the room had sufficient A/C the lobby and hallways did not. Strike 2. House keeping never came to clean my room. When we returned from a long day of excursions we had to wait an extra hour until the hotel staff could find a towel set for us to even shower with because they were "out of washcloths" and I still never received a washcloth. Strike 3. Then after I complained to Expedia, the management of the hotel refused to give me any Credit or partial refund to accommodate for the inconvenience of my stay. I'll never be back at this location again. I often stay at Marriott's but this was by far my worst experience.

When we arrived at our hotel, they charged our credit card for the room when we told the hotel staff we paid through you. Then our refrigerator wasn’t working so we asked for someone to fix it. It took hours for someone to come to the room with a replacement and found out that the outlet was bad not the refrigerator. There was a new desk person at the hotel when we checked in and they didn’t see the amount was paid already and the amount is still “pending” which is ridiculous. They also put $100 per night for “incidentals” which is also insane. I don’t care if they had past customers who destroyed their rooms. Why should we have money “pending” for the incidentals plus the two night charge of the hotel which totaled over $600! The window shades were falling apart and the room didn’t smell clean. Housekeeping never came in the room to change the towels and bed linen either. It was definitely not worth the money!
