Hotel Murano

Noisy room. Heard the elevator mechanics all night on 2 separate visits. Had asked for a different room away from the elevator after the first stay and was completely disregarded. Gave us the same room as before. Left my pajama shirt and called Guest Relations the next day. She said would have it waiting for me at the front desk on my return visit a few days later. Said she would call if she didn't find it. No one called. Nothing at front desk. No response from housekeeping. Just plain rude and uncaring. Only one side table by bed. Bathroom has absolutely no counter space. Scratchy towels smelling of chlorine. No plastic bag in wastebaskets.

Great artistic vibe. Staff were helpful and friendly. My bed was comfy and enjoyed the bedding.

In photos while booking the room there were pics of chairs or couches to sit on (besides the bed) to read, relax or watch tv. There were no options besides a metal desk chair to sit on. I could not reach the shampoo or body wash attached to the wall while sitting in the tub.

Very quiet hotel in a great location.

We supposedly received a renovated room. I don’t think the renovation was done. There were two queen beds and a spacious side area that had a standing lamp and nothing else. The beds are high so sitting on them to put shoes on can be a challenge. Not even a stand for your suitcase. Ours were on the floor. For being newly renovated, caulking was poorly done, even on the bathroom door. Fortunately we were not spending time in the room except to sleep.

Inside was appropriate. Walking distance to pubs and restaurants. Driving near by is confusing.

Parking for an additional 30 per night is ridiculous. Will not stay here again. The positives do not outweigh that expense. This was an add on that was not advertised.
