Sheraton New Orleans Hotel

Always stay here when I come for jazzfest. The dining areas very nice with good food and wonderful service. Cleaning staff always make sure my room is clean and I have supplies. Latrell was most helpful at check in and making me feel welcome. Overall everyone is cool and chill I really enjoy staying here. Lola

Unfortunately, I checked into my room and the hotel was overbooked after the previous they emailed me and confirmed my arrival and that I had a room. They proceeded to offer me a room for twice the price and when I agreed I went inside the room and there wasn’t a bed. It was a couch with a pull out bed.

Very well situated and with good amenities

We had plans to stay in New Orleans for only one evening and we chose this Sheraton. Having been there several times, we’ve tried several different Marriott properties, but not this one. We did like that this hotel is centrally located on Canal Street and is easily walkable to most places. We got to town really early, so we arrived at the hotel around 9AM to check-in and Latrel greeted us with a smile. She had a friendly and helpful demeanor and was prompt in checking us in and getting us on the list for a room. She advised that when my room was ready, we would be contacted, and we were a couple hours later. They also stored our luggage while we went out to see the sites and have lunch. When we came back to complete the check-in process, the lady working the check-in desk was busy and after waiting a few minutes, Latrel came from the back room to check me in, clearly coming off break to do so – Again, great service! In fact, we had one more instance the next morning to interact with her when I lost my key and she was quick and helpful checking my ID and getting me a new key. Bottom line, I stay in hotels weekly (mostly Marriotts) and I rarely encounter desk staff this pleasant and helpful. As for the room, it was comfortable and clean. I wish it had more USB options, but we made due with the extension outlets we carry. The shower and bath worked fine and the TV work great too. HVAC was decent, not loud or annoying and it kept the room a nice temperature. This property has a really nice lobby bar in its atrium style lobby and the staff working there was great too. One of the highlights of the stay was the concierge. (Sorry I forgot his name) He was GREAT! Very helpful and we used some of his suggestions and they were GREAT! He was enthusiastic about the town, places to eat, and things to do and he provided some great information! Overall this was a great visit and I’d most definitely return to this property in the future!
