Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach Resort & Spa

We had an incredible stay at the Hyatt Regency Waikiki and would absolutely return. We were celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary as well as both of our children’s birthdays, and the hotel made us feel genuinely special. Before we even arrived, HJ Lee reached out to ensure everything was ready for our stay. During our visit, we were surprised with thoughtful anniversary and birthday gifts, and HJ even followed up after our stay. That level of personalized service is rare and made a lasting impression. The location is unbeatable. Being directly across from Waikiki Beach made it easy to enjoy sunrise walks, beach time, shopping, and restaurants without ever needing a car. The Regency Club was fantastic. Breakfast each morning and evening appetizers were excellent and added tremendous value to our stay. It became one of our favorite places to relax as a family. We also loved the complimentary ukulele class, which was a fun and authentic Hawaiian experience. Another unexpected highlight was watching FIFA World Cup matches on the big screens by the pool, creating such a fun atmosphere with guests from around the world. Most of all, the staff made this hotel stand out. Everyone was warm, friendly, and eager to help. From check in to check out, we felt truly welcomed. Mahalo to HJ Lee and the entire Hyatt Regency Waikiki team for making our family celebration so memorable. We can’t wait to come back.

I honestly don’t want to leave this negative of a review on a Hyatt hotel because I normally love them. This was not the greatest hotel experience for our family at all. The room was not as described even after calling the hotel. The valet parking is $80 and a disaster getting your car. The self parking is $65 and the parking honestly is a joke it’s so small. The elevators take forever to get there that a line down the hallway forms. The stairwell when taking it was out of a horror film it was falling apart. The cost of this hotel is no where near what it is. The location is good with it being across from Waikiki beach, but that’s about it. The amenities provided are very minimal, especially with the competition in this price range and this area. The price of the restaurants here is much more than places you can walk to in the neighborhood as well. I would not recommend this hotel, and we stay at a ton of hyatts and normally really enjoy this brand. This stay was a massive step backwards in our relationship with Hyatt for our family.

We stayed over to attend a wedding at the Hyatt. Great wedding venue. Excellent staff, especially Christian at the Front Desk. Nice hotel with great amenities and location. Check price changes periodically, even after you book.

Friendly check in, rooms were tidy with plentiful pillows, towels, bath products, attentive housekeeping staff. Purified water stations on a few floors to fill water bottles when needed. Beach towels to use for convenience and umbrellas loaned when we had a little rain.

Great location, the rooms need to be refreshed though. Went for family trip. Girls still had fun on beach but i was left wishing for a more ooh ahh experience.

Some staff were amazing whilst others were totally unhelpful and rude. the hotel is full of scafolding which we were not told on bookimng.

Great breakfast. Excellent bell person.
