Hyatt Regency Maui Resort & Spa

Location in Ka’anapali was fantastic. Our “partial ocean view corner room was perfect. Partially view was misleading as the ocean was fully viewable from on balcony, while the mountains were viewable (with rainbow two days) from the other balcony. The Hyatt Regency Maui met (and exceeded) all of our expectations for the Hyatt brand. Some areas may have appeared dated, such as the tile in the hallways, but the quality and value of the rooms by far made up for it. The onsite amenities like the pool and fitness center were very well kept, clean and enjoyable. Having access to those amenities at the Hyatt Vacation Billage next door is a plus. I would highly consider staying here again in the future.

A special thank you to Jeff at the front desk, whose attentiveness, kindness, and professionalism truly stood out. He went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable and memorable, always greeting me with a smile and offering help whenever needed. The resort itself is stunning, with beautiful grounds, excellent facilities, and breathtaking ocean views. Every detail reflected the high standards of Hyatt. I left with wonderful memories and would not hesitate to return. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful experience at the Hyatt in Maui! Everyone we interacted with was kind and helpful. They seemed genuinely happy to be at their job. While the hotel has been there for a long time, it is well maintained. Our room was clean and welcoming. There were good options for food both at the hotel and close by. We would absolutely stay here again.

This is an amazing stay. The hotel was so nice and the service was top notch. There are three pools to choose from within the hotel and you can literally walk out to the beach if you want as well. For dining options, you can either eat in one of the restaurents in the hotel like Japango, or try out places around the hotel. Whalers village is within 15 mins walking distance, where you can shop and dine. The whole area is so relaxing that we literally did not want to leave! We stayed using our Hyatt points and would definitely recommend this place!

Still a fan of the beautiful Hyatt Enjoyed our stay there as a family of 4. Food was delicious. Rooms are nicely renovated. Service was pleasant. The hotel is so pretty and It’s a very special place to stay. We enjoy the bird and penguin friends on property. Only bummer was the current beach erosion but next door the beach widens and pool gives you chairs and towels to setup.

Booked 7 nights at Hyatt Regency Maui based on our experience from previous trips. The property is nice and great location. Six days after we booked, we had a notification saying the price went down so my husband called to see if we could get some sort of food credit or hotel credit. So we called the reservation number and someone we spoke to said she had no problem doing that for us but the manager left for the day and we need to call the next day. It was our fault we failed to call but at the check in the front desk lady should have handled it better. She said just because we didn't call and the person we spoke to didn't make any note so they didn't have any records of our conversation we had with the reservation lady and she told us to call the reservation number again. So we called the reservation again but they kept transferring us back and forth between the front desk and reservation line while we were at the hotel trying to check in. It was a long day and the point was they made us feel like we were lying about that conversation and treated us poorly with zero customer service skills and on top of that we arrived at 11.30am and not able to get a room until after 3.47pm. I understand that the check in time is 4pm however we saw big groups of people arrived after us and got the luggages rolled to elevator assuming they are going up to their rooms. The bottom line is we are just not happy with their service and the attitude of the front desk staff. Oblivious we tried to solve the issue with the front desk unfortunately it didn't work!! We have noticed that the Hyatt hotels have become very negative at service their customers!! Lessons learned and I guess we won't be cheating on Marriott again lol!!

Great property, lovely beach and very good food. Lots of animals for kids and adults entertainment. Very clean rooms and attentive staff. Highly recommend.

First, the staff at this hotel was the best I have ever experienced. Without exception, every single person was friendly, helpful and professional. I never met anyone with a bad or grumpy attitude. I want to call out, specially, the housekeeper on our floor, Elvie. What a sweetheart she is! Efficient, of course, but just a pleasure to meet. Secondly, the property is beautiful and amazingly well maintained. Gardeners worked daily keeping the plants refreshed and neat. We visited a few other Kaanapali resorts and they seemed almost shabby next to the Hyatt. Loved the parrots all around the public areas and was very impressed by the ethos surrounding their care. Their mental health is as important as their physical health, with limited hours, daily change of location and days off. I was concerned about all the activities being staged under the window of our atrium oceanfront room (weddings, concerts, corporate gatherings), but a strict 10pm end was always enforced and the room was very well insulated from sound when the balcony door was closed. The breakfast buffet was extraordinary, and the on-site restaurants excellent. But it would be nice to have a more casual takeaway type option. A sub sandwich, a slice of ordinary pizza or even a hot dog would be welcome occasionally. A store sold packaged options, but wasn't the same. It is expensive to stay here, as there is a charge for pretty much everything, but that goes with the territory. Unless you opt for the Ritz or Andaz category, this would be a top choice for a Maui stay.
