Hyatt Regency Milwaukee

It is in a convenient location next to the Baird Convention Center. The rooms are spacious and clean. The food options are limited onsite. The hotel was quiet with little road noise. It offered good value.

The hotel is wildly mediocre but expensive. The whole lobby smells like vomit. The only place to get food or drinks closes at 9PM, and if you want usable Wi-Fi, you have to pay 15 bucks a day for it.

This hotel stay…sucked. It’s a Hyatt Regency, you have higher expectations. Very outdated rooms. The bedding…felt like it was rubber sheets also the bottom sheet you sleep on is not fitted. The beds were ok comfort wise, pillows sucked though. The room cleanliness was so/so. The bathroom exhaust fan was dirty, toilet lid has scratches on it, looked like mold on the underside of the sink basin top(noticed that because the toilet is so low), the bathroom is tiny (felt claustrophobic the ceiling is lower in the bathroom). Now onto the service. The ONLY good service we got there was from the bellman and the front desk staff. The (breakfast) restaurant was ABSOLUTELY THE WORST SERVICE EVER! We ate there the first day and it took forever to get our food. The manger tried to make it right. My friends decided not to eat there anymore. I thought I would try it one more time since they said it was going to be a buffet the next day instead of just sit down service. How can you screw up a buffet style breakfast? Right? Guess what, they excelled at that. I was by myself, was seated by a friendly hostess (yes she was probably the best part of my experience). Went and got my plate. There wasn’t silverware (the waitstaff need to bring it to you as well as your drink). Well I had my plate of food, sat back in the spot she sat me in. My server didn’t acknowledge me once. She was in the room several times. I asked another server if I could get silverware, he said sure. He came back in twice and so did my server. Nothing. I finally caught my server, at this point I was getting pissed. I said can you please bring me silverware and an orange juice. She said sure. She brought my silverware. Then the guy server brought my orange juice finally. I was finally able to eat my food…now it was cold since I waited more than 10 minutes for utensils. Oh, I almost forgot, I got stuck in an elevator for 10 minutes. We did tell the front desk. Went in, hit to go down to the lobby, wouldn’t move. Tried to just get back out of the elevator, the door wouldn’t open no matter what I tried. Finally was able to get out. Ridiculous hotel. Bottom line, go somewhere else. This place sucks.

Location was great as was price. Staff were all very professional and friendly.

The rooms are definitely showing their age. Slow drainage of sinks, various damages to doors, etc. Not bad at all but just in need of being spruced up.

The T.V. didn"t work. I am now having trouble gettimg a reciept. they keep telling me they e mailed it but it is not attached to any of the emails.

Room was clean, good view of the city. Very close to Miller High Life Theater. Vallet attendants were courteous and helpful.

The Starbucks could use some help but the hotel was fine - as expected. I stayed two nights and the parking (contracted by the hotel but not a hotel asset) was $80 upon my departure...
