Hyatt Regency Sarasota

It was fine, comfortable enough. The staff was a little rude and abrupt, and the breakfast buffet felt like a trick. They make you think it's a complimentary hotel breakfast but it's not.

Vey nice hotel. Great location, huge room with marina view. Clean facilities. Walkable to restaurants. Hotel does a happy hour once a week with free wine/beer and amazing cheese platter and apps. happened to be on Thursday night when we were there. Overall, very good experience.

Check-in and check-out both went smoothly. Upon arrival from airport, my room was immediately available an hour before the scheduled check-in which was great. Local transport (uber) was a breeze; I was able to picked up night or day within 15-min of submitting my ride request, so the hotel being downtown was convenient. Didn’t like that sheets were washed only once every 3-days… therefore my [not long enough] weekend stay meant I slept on dirty sheets night #2. Front desk was helpful and responsive in-person, and 2 of 3x I called down to the FD from my room they answered immediately and were helpful. For some reason the third call I made didn’t go my way; I called down but had to try 3x before someone picked up. I’m assuming this was an anomaly though / just bad timing. Only genuine “issue” I had was the state of the fitness center. Went down Saturday late morning/midday to workout and it was pretty nasty. No clean wipes to use so you could still see the sweat from whoever was there before me, dumbbells were scattered on the floor, trash bin was overflowed, towels weren’t folded, but most importantly (to me at least) was that somehow within a beautiful building with beautiful furniture surrounded by epic sunlight and stunning views of the marina, the gym found its way into the darkest corner on the bottom floor with next to no natural light. I’d pay for a day pass at any local gym instead of working out in there again haha. But still, I am grateful that there was a gym.

Not what I expected. Hotel facade is nice but inside need of remodeling especially the main bar. Limited dining and not convenient spot if you want to go to restaurants and bars. Far enough from downtown. Too much construction going on outside of the hotel. Valet/45 night only no self parking. Never again.

I have stayed here once before. Always a nice facility. Good food. Good bar and people are always nice.

Nice clean hotel with comfortable rooms. Nice views of Tampa Bay.

For a Hyatt that charged $400 a night with no parking and elevator not working and double charging us on a 2 night stay it needs to be shut down. We had our wedding party that stayed there and it was embarrassing They charged us over $1800 in pending charges and wouldn’t take them off until our initial payment was cleared. Needs to be a better way No extra pillows or blankets or towels. The only great thing was the dinner for the wedding. They worked hard.

What had been the hotel's self-serve parking lot is now a construction site for a large multi-story building. Parking is only by VALET and costs $45 per night. Rooms are "old school" with double beds (NOT Queen size). You should expect to pay a "resort fee" whether you use the amenities or not. I find the facility overpriced for what is offered.

Hyatt Hotel has amazing views! This hotel is beautiful and in a great location downtown near lots of great restaurants. It was very cold outside, and we opted to eat at the hotel restaurant for dinner (tenderloin medallions) and the food and service was wonderful. From valet to Check-in to Check-out we felt welcome. I would definitely stay here again!
