Hyatt Regency Sarasota

We stayed at this hotel several times but it's been awhile. The property is old and tired. It definitely not worth $500 per night. Way overpriced for this facility. Apparently there are plans to tear down is hotel and completely rebuild the area. Based on the value received for the money, let alone the $45 per night parking fee since there is no parking other than valet, I would never recommend this hotel unless the price is at least 1/2 of what we paid.

Price was not as advertised on hotel.com website. First a $30 per night “resort fee” was added then $45 per night parking valet parking fee was added. No self parking was allowed. With tax on these 2 extra fees the real price was over $80 more than the listed price. Bait and switch at its finest. Also the hotel is dated and in poor condition. A very wobbly desk in the room was ready to collapse and hurt someone. A probably damaged piece of carpet was cut and a piece was sewed in. Looked poor.

Beautiful hotel!! Great location! 10 minutes to Lido Beach. Safe and the rooms were clean.

This was an interesting property for a "Resort" in downtown Sarasota. Pool and other activities were nice but cramped when Hotel is full. Elevators are the only access to rooms. Automobile access/parking is valet only and NOT included in the room rate.$$ Public open space/park across the street is interesting.

The rooms are old and in need of refreshment. The carpets are old and stained and fraying in areas. The tub area had mold near it and the caulking needs to be done again. The rooms all need to be redone or at least the ones on the 4th for. Parking is too high a price. The pool is nice but the resort fee does not cover enough

I was married at this hotel 30 years ago. It was vibrant, beautiful bars and restaurants, parking lot was available. Last night I had to order dinner in because the choices of food in the hotel was so limited. The restaurant looks very unappealing, the bar had 6 seats. I was hoping for a relaxing, memorable visit back to the hotel for years, but this is nothing like the quality of hotel that it was. Not coming back. Wish I could leave now

Stop the smokers

The only option for parking at the hotel is valet parking at $45.00 per night. The front desk clerk told me I could get away with parking at the performing arts theatre a couple of streets over from the hotel. That was quite inconvenient.

Great stay with the Family.

The service, cleanliness, and amenities are excellent. The hotel is also walking distance from restaurants and activities. Unfortunately, the construction next to the hotel work us up at 5:00 am. The noise was nonstop. It also ruined our plans to relax by the pool before heading home.
