Hyatt Regency Phoenix Downtown

Hotel is typical of a Hyatt in terms of room and ambiance (and price $300+ for a room) Room was comfortable and quiet. My big problem was with the lack of descent breakfast at hotel. This Hyatt does not proved a full service option for breakfast or even a full buffet. Instead I ended up spending over $60 for three premade, reheated breakfast sandwiches with coffee in paper cups. Had I known what I would get, I would have gone to McDonalds where I would have gotten much better quality food for a fraction of the cost. I normally expect a Hyatt to be a full service hotel. If this is the quality of Hyatt going forward, my business will go elsewhere. I’ve heard about all the cuts hotel chains are doing, but this is first time I’ve seen it this bad.

There was a huge convention party in the atrium filling the entire hotel with loud music all night. When I called the front desk they said it should have already stopped but the convention just refused and the manager was not willing to have security deal with it.

They accommodated my early check in. I did have to pay $35 for an upgrade, but the room and view were worth it! The staff was friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again!
