Hyatt Regency Lexington

Loved that it was a quick walk to watch the basketball game.

Overpriced and rooms were outdated.

Hotel was clean enough, but could use some freshening up in the rooms. The location was very noisy. I could hear every car drove by in a busy downtown area. Our breaker blew four times and while staff was quick to turn it back on it was a pain to have to keep calling down and we were ultimately late to our destination. I requested a discount two days ago and have yet to hear from the hotel. We stayed here with a group, but if we find ourselves in the Lexington area again we would not choose to stay here. The price that we paid for one night is double what we’re spending at a competitor next week.

We liked the pool, the view, and the bathrooms.

The entire reason we booked the hotel was because of location and the advertisement that there was a connector to the Rupp Arena and central bank center. It wasn’t even open for us to use so we had to walk the kids outside and down the sidewalk in their uniforms instead of staying warm inside the building. We also had people running and yelling in the hallway until 1am and called the front desk three times to get it handled. Our thermostat also said it was 64 degrees in the room and couldn’t have been any less than 70 degrees. We turned it to 60 degrees and didn’t feel like the temp changed one bit.

Hotel has a ton of amenities. I only give it 4 stars because the room was in need of some touch ups , care and upgrades. The room was clean and perfect for us as a couple. It was just the minor things that stuck out. A few places need some paint, there isn’t an exhaust fan in bathroom so steam from shower create rust on sprinkler system, gouges in walls or furniture were obvious. I know it’s little things but a lot of little things make it a look less clean/nice. That being said there was a lot of plus features. You’re walking distance to a lot of things downtown. The hotel was clean. Parking was decent for downtown. Be prepared to pay to park or valet. The restaurant was nice, the breakfast buffet and omelette bar was very good and service was great. We grabbed dinner the first night because we got in late. The food was good and priced appropriately. If we had a question, the desk helped answer them right away. We stayed in a king bed room on the 15th floor and the hallways were all clean and in order and the view was nice. It has a nice pool area but it was super crowded with a lot of kids that took up its entirety. (That was still going strong at 9pm) There are a ton of sports teams/cheer teams staying here so the lobby is always packed. Having said all that, we would stay here again.

Lighting in Bathroom was very dim.

Clean, friendly staff, food is great!

Both nights there was some unruly people staying next door. Kept us up all night.
