Kawan Antique Ubud Villa

The staff at Kawan Antique are amazing! They were so friendly and accommodating to all our needs. They were all so beautiful. The drivers, the receptionists etc. All incredible! I also loved the style of the villa, very cute, private, surrounded by nature and with a private pool. The breakfasts were yum, especially those fresh fruit juices. I would recommend Kawan if you are looking for a place to relax away from all the hustle and bustle of the city centre

The bed was a bit too hard for me, but I got used to it. I didn't mind the location, I liked that it was away from the city centre. We had no issues getting around. There is no free shuttle, but they do have drivers you can book with Kawan. Also, we used Grab on our last day to get around and we had no issues at all. The one thing that did bother us though was that at 5am every morning, we could hear the rooster singing. If you're a light sleeper, take some earplugs with you

Our stay at the villa in Ubud was truly relaxing. Surrounded by lush greenery the setting felt very peaceful and authentic. The villa was clean, well-maintained, and had a nice balance between comfort and traditional Balinese charm. We especially enjoyed the outdoor space — the pool and the view made time spent there feel extra special. The staff were friendly, respectful, and available when we had questions. The location worked well for us — just a short ride from the center of Ubud, yet far enough to feel calm and quiet. A lovely stay overall, and a great choice for anyone looking to unwind in nature while still being close to Ubud’s restaurants and cultural spots.

Absolutely incredible place. Everything looks exactly like it’s shown on the pictures. Hosts are very helpful and you can contact them anytime with anything. Breakfasts were tasty and you can order a floating breakfast if you like.

Beautiful villa with private pool, excellent breakfast, lovely and friendly staff who cannot do enough for you. Massages in the room available, partnered with a local restaurant to deliver delicious food to the villa, free transport to Ubud city once daily.

The only issue is the villa is down a narrow road which is very uneven, some taxis would not go down the road. It is only about 5 mins walk, but worth knowing if you are not mobile.

The staff took great care in making sure the villa was clean and well presented each day. It was truly such a beautiful space! I cannot praise the staff enough for how much care and respect they provide to make sure you have the best possible stay. The incredible effort they put in to making my birthday special was so memorable and appreciated. The breakfast was delicious. There were many options and a choice of what time you would like it delivered to your villa. While other reviews may state that it is quite a distance from the centre of town, we actually preferred this, and it really was such a short and affordable drive (we used Grab and Gojek). The driveway is VERY narrow getting in, however, we personally didn’t have any issue with drivers coming to collect us from the villa. There was no microwave at the villa to heat up food, however, the staff were more than happy to heat this up for us. THANK YOU so very much for such a wonderful experience and a little paradise to call home for 8 nights. We loved every minute of Ubud and will definitely be back.

That we couldn’t stay longer!!

This villa was very special. It was quiet and kept away from the hustle and bustle of the city center. The ammenities were amazing, the beds were comfortable. I have nothing negative to say.

The pineapples carved into the doors are beautiful, but we smacked our head on them about 100 times. There isn't much that can be done about this, but hanging something from them might make them less treacherous lol. We did bring our own scooter to travel to and from the accommodation which was very easy, but if you did not have your own transport, it might be a little challenging. Although, the staff provided a transfer in and out of town once per day.
