"Marriott Downtown Columbia"

We had 3 separate stays at this hotel within one week. Check in/Check out was very smooth. The staff was very friendly. The lobby bar had a nice drinks and food selection. The hotel is nicely located with only a few minutes walk to many good restaurants on Main Street.

"Quality but a bit over-priced"

Good, clean quarters and common areas. Breakfast buffet a bit pricy - especially since I do not eat that much for breakfast. Shampoo/soap bottles in shower are close to empty.

"The only place to stay downtown"

I absolutely love the fact that I can stay at this location. Wake up and eat an amazing breakfast, thanks to Angela, who provides excellent service and then walk outside, turn left and in less than half a mile enjoy the entire day. Then wake up the next morning, eat another amazing breakfast, thanks to Angela who provides excellent excellent service, walk outside and turn right and in less than half a mile enjoy the entire day Downtown Columbia is awesome and this is the place to stay when you come down here!

"Great location and staff"

We came to town for our son to tour the University of South Carolina. We had a wonderful trip. The staff, especially at the front desk, were extremely kind and knowledgeable. The rooms were clean and well-appointed, and the club breakfast was great. We will be back.

Got there very early morning and the lady at the desk couldn't have been less friendly about options for early check-in; pool area was in bad shape
