Marriott Columbia

Fantastic hotel, close to the Children's Hospital, awesome staff! We had the good fortune to meet Manis, bartender and wait staff. He was Fantastic, great personality and immediate service.

We cannot say enough about the staff at this hotel! The front desk check in and staff throughout our stay were extremely friendly and kind. They even found an electric pencil sharpener to sharpen my grandson's colored pencils. Housekeeping was always limd and wore lots of smiles. The restaurant staff, especially Manis and Agus, were the best! Thank you Columbia Marriott for a fabulous experience.!!

The location is great - good restaurants / bars close by and right at soda city. also, the staff is great - very friendly and extremely helpful. My daughter goes to school at USC and after trying multiple hotels in the area, the Marriot is the only one we now stay.

While the staff were very nice and helpful, this hotel disappoints as far as Marriotts go. It’s older and needs a serious renovation. The HVAC in the room made strange noises all night and the bathroom floor, corners and even door weren’t well cleaned and rather gross to look at. The Netflix streaming was extremely slow. Also, it would be nice if the M Lounge for elite status guests was open on the weekend. There are much better hotels out there for the money.

Parking was tough, but staff was very kind.

Incredible service especially at front desk check in. Lloyd and Christian were so warm, friendly, helpful and authentic. True southern hospitality in a very nice Marriott. I travel all the time for work and these gentlemen made me feel so welcome and happy. Kudos to them.

As usual at the downtown Columbia Marriott, i had a great stay. Cozy updated room, great concierge lounge, and the entire staff is extremely professional and courteous, especially Xavier who handled my arrival and check in.

Our initial contact at the Marriott was a young man at the front desk named Franklin. He did a great job checking us in and was fun to talk to along with having a great sense of humor. He gave us a great room overlooking Columbia on the 10th floor. It was the right direction for us because we could see the Township Auditorium where we were going to see Pat Benatar that evening. And then there was the fantastic waitress, Summer. We first met Summer at the East Bay Delli. She took our order and delivered our food. She then told us that she also worked at the Marriott and would see us for Breakfast the next morning. I am my mid 70s and traveled for a living and have accrued many points and stayed at many Marriotts in the last 40 years. My wife and I have never met a waitress that was so pleasant to talk and completely keep an eye on us to make sure everything went as planned for our breakfast. It was an honor to have Summer be a part of our experience at the Marriott in Columbia. A shout out to her and also Franklin for making our concert trip to see Pat Benatar a memorable one.

Wonderful staff, Manis and Agus, were beyond kind and welcoming. Rachael was also great, asking if we needed anything! Food was great! Would highly recommend!
