I was only there for one night because of a family emergency. Arrived late in the evening and Lloyd and Franklyn were just amazing. Helped me and my daughter get situated with parking, very accommodating the next day with a late checkout and breakfast. They are meant to be in the hospitality business because they were just so kind and caring while I cared for my daughter who had been in an accident. So grateful for kind and caring people!

Overall Experience: ★★★★★ ​I stopped in for lunch last Friday and had a fantastic experience. I took a recommendation from Alexis H. and tried the chicken sandwich along with a side of fries. The chicken was prepared perfectly—really flavorful and easily the highlight of the meal. ​What truly stood out, however, was the service. Alexis H was an absolute joy to talk with. Despite being busy, she made sure everyone in the area was well attended to and never missed a beat. It’s rare to find that level of genuine hospitality. I’ll definitely be back!

The service at the restaurant was absolutely amazing and my mom and I loved Alexis H!

The check-in gentlemen, Christian, was phenomenal and so welcoming. The location is walking distance to many good restaurants and the riverfront trail. The rooms have been renovated and are very clean. Jennett Dash in the cincierge lounge was delightful and kept everything sparkling clean. Also, enjoyed the bartender, Alex, who makes a delicious Hugo spritz! I will be back soon! Meredith

Well, what can I say? The list of people that helped me I am forever grateful. Megan Chris Lloyd Lorianine Xavier Franklin Rachel Even the lady that brought my food up from room service, I didn’t catch her name, but she was amazing I had to come to Columbia, South Carolina to finish the signing of my first house. It was very scary because I had to do everything solo because my father is no longer with us I don’t travel a lot, but I felt very safe with this team. I’m trying not to cry thank you all so very much for helping me. You guys made me feel like I was a part of the family even though each one of these members we had very short conversations they definitely made an impact on my stay thank you all so very much for all that you did even the little things. I hope all of you guys get raises because you guys were all a 10 out of 10 on best experience thank you so very much all of you and I hope God blesses you in every endeavor you decide to do 10 out of 10 I would definitely recommend.

I'm not from SC but Marriott Columbia welcomed me with kindness and outstanding service. Clean rooms, fresh towels and lovely atmosphere. Definitely recommend dining at their restaurant, Midlands. Have a great trip!

Excellent location in downtown Columbia. The friendly staff at the Restaurant deserve special mention (Desi, Nanda and Others)! Recommendable.

One of the BEST experiences I have ever had at a Marriott property, upon entering the building, everyone was warm and inviting. I had a very unpleasant experience one day prior at another location, and Ms. Lorriane was not only warm and welcoming, but also showed another level of hospitality that I had not expected. This was a perfect location, and the rooms were cozy and clean! Very very very pleasant stay, would recommend this location to anyone traveling to the area.

great staff were so helpful, the hotel is beautiful and my requested adjoining rooms were ready early and very nice rooms! Sure appreciated Lorraine & Lloyd's help with arrival logistics while there was a street festival blocking access. The location is the best for downtown activities in easy walking proximity. This hotel is consistently wonderful, I stayed a year ago also with same great experience! thank you
