Richmond Marriott

I had a very comfortable stay at the Richmond Marriott. It was conveniently located next to the Convention Center where my meeting was located. Check-in and check-out was fast, and the staff was courteous. The room was quiet, and the bed was perfect. The only downside is that the neighborhood seemed a little sketchy, especially after dark.

I was disappointed! Service at from desk was poor: she did the minimum message just to check us in. Couldn’t provide any assistance with the area ( restaurants or sight seeing). The room looked ok but then I dropped something and looked under the bed… well, it hasn’t been cleaned in a while. The lounge was very busy . They ran out of diet soda and once I asked had no idea when they might have it…. The bright side was the very pleasant Anna in the lounge.

This was my first time staying at the downtown Marriott Hotel, as in the past I always stayed at the Hilton just across the street. We’re price not an issue, it is, I would still prefer the Hilton. But the Marriott also is a fine, comfortable hotel at an excellent price point. Front desk staff are very friendly. I only had breakfast at the hotel restaurant but again, friendly, efficient staff and good food.

The toilet seat wasn’t secured to the toilet, the shower door was off track, the shower soap dispenser was torn off the wall and left on a shelf
