"Nice at first but a disaster if you want to Sleep."

I’ve found this a hard one to review. You first arrive in to the hotel and the reception is welcoming and the restaurant/ bar looks great. First look into the room also very good. Bed comfortable and fairly spacious. Nice meal in the restaurant with great service. Now the not so good parts. To put it simply you will struggle to sleep. The road noise is loud even with the window shut. It’s also constant throughout the night and morning. I basically slept for 2 hours max. You will hear noise from the bar below until 11pm / midnight. You can literally hear every word of the table below you. I have to leave a bad review because of this as the whole point of staying here was to sleep well as part of a longer trip.

We have stayed here a number of times over the last few years. It’s great that the service and food remains top notch. We also get to see the little extras they are adding to the rooms to make them even better. Keep up the good work, we’ll be back soon!

Very proficient and friendly welcome. Room was beautiful. Very clean, spacious and had everything we needed. Breakfast is excellent, staff very attentive, nothing was too much bother. Dinner menu was great. Very busy hotel, plenty entertainment. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay

"Good hotel"

Good hotel. Nice bar and restaurant. Friendly staff. No parking and it’s on a main road so lots of traffic noise if you stay in warm weather and need the window open!

"Top notch hotel "

I have to say that the staff were top notch and such a lovely hotel , great choice of cask ales , had lunch which was superb and the brekkie was superb , holly the manager wasgreat help booking taxis , will definitely return as Newton looks a great place to go out
