This motel is in disrepair. From the parking lot & exterior to every detail in the room. Door broken seal, holes in the wall where a towel rack was, chipped paint, fuzzy Old TV, rusty tub & shower, dirty microwave, refrigerator, sink, toilet, tub and floor. Cob webs on the wall. I was very disappointed that this motel is an Econ o Lodge. It wasn’t up to their or my standards.
The room rate was the best in the area and the facility, although dated was clean and quiet.
My stay was barely tolerable. I was in town for a family funeral so I tolerated my one-night reservation. On entering the room it obviously was not the non-smoking as requested as stale smoke hit my nose immediately. I was on limited time so asking for room exchange was not possible. The floor was sticky and pieces of popcorn were easily visible. As I hurriedly got dressed I raced to the sink area to make up my face. The overhead fluorescent light blinked several times then went out!! But no time to go back to the Lobby to complain. I returned to the room about 11 pm, A short time later the toilet would not flush. I looked in the tank & noted the chain was broke. Taking a shower was not a choice as the tub was very shoddy: rusty grab bars, gobs of caulk around tub, holes in wall where towel bar was missing, dented marred door, etc. And to top it off, my door would not fully close or lock properly!! I slept with only a chain for security. I can only hope my sheets were clean. The next morning, the lobby door was locked with a sign stating "No available rooms". So I just left my cardkey in the room. The only comfort I had was the heater worked great. Overall, I rate this stay as a "negative zero". Next time I visit Danville, I'll pay $20 more and stay across the street!! In closing, I'd like a full refund as Econolodge needs to update and refurbish this facility asap. I wish I had thought to take pictures! Thank you.
The staff was really nice but the room wasn't the cleanest. When we walked inside there were 3 stinkbugs on the ceiling. The bathroom was gross. Had to hold the handle on the toilet seat down for 15ish seconds to get the toilet to flush. When turning on the shower and the sink the water came out brown at first. Cigarette burns on the blanket too. Overall the stay was alright but I probably won't be staying here again unless I absolutely need to. The price was good for what you get though.
The rooms was nasty the sink didn’t work.
The property was out of date and not clean.
Room was clean...drains slow. Difficult to regulate heat as door drafty. Overall very satisfied. Night manager very nice and accommodating. No ice as ice machine down. Great for over night stop.
Outdated and dirty. Broken bathroom. Needs renovations. Sheets dirty.
