Clarion Hotel Somerset - New Brunswick

Have stayed here many times in the past few years, but it needs some sprucing up. I asked to have my toilet seat fixed twice after I almost slipped off of it, to no avail. (Only had one post attached.) Laundry didn't work. Some major networks weren't clear. Very dirty outside. Didn't they use to serve breakfast? Disappointing stay.

Location.

The property was only good for location. Directly off of 287. It’s connected to a Hooters. There was throw up in the hallways and elevator. The floors were nasty. The couch in my room was covered with a linen sheet because it was worn out. No toilet paper holder. If you need a place to stay because you are hungover, this will do. Just hurry and check out after. Don’t even shower here. Shower when you get home.

Location, attached restaurant/bar.

Smelled as though someone had smoked several packs of cigarettes throughout the entire building, despite the plentiful and prevalent “No Smoking” signage.

Cheap and value for money

The price was respectable.

It was filled with weird people. Some guy was always sleeping in the lobby. There were no towels in our room on arrival, there were no hangers in the closet. The pet fee is ridiculously high.

This was a terrible stay. My shower did not work. Hairdryer was broken. Phone also broken could not phone for help. Hooters was next to hotel. Very seedy. I want my money back.

The place had people seating in the parking lot and the hallways in my flor look dirty and smelling like food really bad and about 3am kids running in the hallways

After our flights were canceled, we spent 3 hours getting a rental car. We checked into the hotel at 3 a.m. with 4 people in each room. Phone in room not working, was told they had no bedding for the pull out bed. Had to send someone down to make sure we got bedding. You can’t expect guests to sleep on a hotel mattress with no bedding, blankets, or pillows. Luckily he found some or he would have been going to the store to purchase some cause you can’t expect someone to sleep on that mattress. The king beds also were broken. One had a huge sag on the end where it felt like I was going to roll out of the bed. Then after getting to bed at 4 am, the guy at the front desk knocked on our door until we answered to ask if we were checking out that day! He knew we didn’t go to bed until late but knocked on our door. Would never stay here again! Customer service is very lacking. Please find somewhere better to stay.

Most staff friendly, one staff female very rude, very weird policy for check in,smh..my room door very loose, bathroom sink mold, bathroom small, hotel outdated, only good thing was indoor pool, many animals on property..and i was approached by a hooker and a drug dealer while walking to.my room, one access door broken so anybody has access to inside hotel, my rating 1.5 because of pool, otherwise .5
