Clarion Hotel Somerset - New Brunswick

I WAS A NICE PLACE TO STAY FOR THE PRICE. NOTHING FANCY. THEY HAD NO BREADFAST OFFERED. THE RESTAURANT BREADFAST WAS CLOSED LIKE 9AM OR SOMETHING.

Room 203 is filthy. The carpet and the hallway smell. I had to sleep with my coat on, for I did not want make contact with the bed. Never again

We booked this room late in the day and told them we had two small dogs. They charged an extra fees for BOTH dogs (which we paid.). I’ve never had a hotel charge for 2 small dogs before. (How do 2 10 lb dogs for which the provide NO service, cost the hotel more than one 30 lb dog.) In the AM, a different front desk attendant wouldn’t sign us out until he’d checked to make sure we’d payed the fee. When has a hotel ever not charged for everything when you check in? All in all, felt very unwelcome.

Stayed one night, the room looked clean, but the furniture looked worn out and peeling, and the toilet was not flushing. We got moved to another room. The second room was better, with a working toilet, but the lampshades had tagging and were ripped, the furniture also looked worn out. The ambience of the place needs to be improved over all.

Service is amazing

Dirty, moldy and none of the gym equipment worked

The property is nice, staff was friendly...The rooms could use some upgrading.
