George is the man! Always so welcoming, talks fishing with us and always leaves us smiling. The sushi restaurant at the hotel is amazing!

The hotel overall was terrific however I must mention how incredible George was in making our stay and weekend so special. He is a true old school professional. It’s become more and more rare to find hard workers these days so when you do it truly stands out. The Waterstone made my wedding weekend experience completely unforgettable. I am 100% sure George treats every guest he meets with the same kindness and compassion but he makes you feel like you’re the most important guest at the hotel with every interaction. Every detail of our stay was great and we cannot wait to come back for a night out soon.

The lobby looks great but when you get on the floors and rooms, they are dated. They can definitely use a refresh. Disappointed to find thick dust on the vents, around the baseboards. George, the Bellman was the most hospitable, made eye contact, smiled. Old school hospitality! Front Desk clerks should learn from him. They don’t even look up. The restaurant could use more help. Waited 17 minutes for someone to come to the table. A few tweaks and this hotel could get a better rating.

Great location. Great staff. I APPRECIATE Kendra, she made my stay very relaxed and she provided TOP KNOTCH customer service. If you’re looking to stay here, ask for Kendra.

My disappointment began at check in. I was told my room wasn’t ready. Thx Keri told me he’d call me when the room was ready and estimated 1 hour. 2 hours later, I went back to the desk and he told me 30 min. After waiting another 90 min, I went back to the desk. I was immediately checked in. There had been a shift change and no one bothered to call me when the room was ready. The waterfront pool bar is nice. But the food menu is lackluster. It’s also misleading. The turkey smash burger wasn’t smashed and caramelized. It was a rubbery patty, with no flavor. Service is lacking, as well, even by Florida standards. The room was ok. Housekeeping did not vacuum. While the view is nice, Being right next to the drawbridge means you hear the constant hum of vehicles driving over grates. There seemed to be no one restocking pool towels (not sure how you run out with 10 guests at the pool). Nor was the poolside men’s room attended to. I reached into a paper towel dispenser and came out with a pair of shorts 🤢. I will not be back. The only bright spot was George, who appeared to be a bellman. He’s a kind soul, whose genuine, energetic greetings made each morning a bit better.

We had a pleasant experience. Staff were respectful and pleasant to deal with. The bar hours seemed a little erratic but the servers and bartenders were great.
