Hotel Ithaca

It was the best price and it was just perfect!! Everyone was very nice.

My room was ready early and no one called me to let me know after I asked them to - 2x. My one complaint.

The hotel being right on the commons was really nice. It's hard to find parking in the commons, so just being able to walk from the hotel and not having to worry about the car was really nice. The view from the window wasn't a jaw dropping view, but still a rather nice view for what I paid for. The glass elevator was really neat, and my partner and I ended up taking the elevator to the 10th floor just to see the view from it. The complimentary coffee in the lobby was great, and made getting a morning cup of tea much more accessible and convenient.

The lack of a microwave in the hotel room was the worst. Couldn't reheat anything, once it was cold, it was cold. The pool also wasn't available during my stay, and I wish I could've known when I booked or sometime before my stay would've been nice. Breakfast not being provided and only having vouchers for breakfast for qualifying rooms (I didn't get a "qualifying room") was kind of bogus if u ask me. I'd hope with a bigger and typically fancier hotel that breakfast would've been provided.

Close to Ithaca College. Easy on site self parking. Walking distance to Commons

Dated. Paint chipped off walls. Shower grout mildew/mold. One bathroom light not working. A little dingy

The location was fantastic for the area. Restaurants and shopping are just a short drive or walk. Buttermilk Falls was also very close by and easily accessible. The room itself was gorgeous and worth the cost.

The water for the shower was either burning hot or ice cold. It fluctuated while taking a shower and I burned my arm. Didn’t seem to care about whether the knob was set to hot or cold. The bathroom was 6/10 clean upon arrival. Dirt all over the floor and the toilet was dirty.

Was surprised with the outdated-ness of the entire building. It was a fine stay- but had expected more.

The restaurant located in the hotel was great. Good food, good service.

The walls separating the rooms are not well sound proofed. We could hear every conversation...even down in the lobby. Vending machine would not take money. Swimming pool was not available.

Room was dirty.

Housekeeping very poor.

We loved our room-- the view was nice and the trees outside added a layer of privacy that we appreciated! The room was all we could have needed for our few days in Ithaca-- we spent a lot of time out in the city, but also enjoyed lounging in our room with take out and a movie! The bed was very comfortable and the hotel staff was very helpful and kind! There was plenty of parking (just for hotel guests!) and being *right* by The Commons made our trip so easy and walkable as well!

The pool was closed while we were there, which is okay, just a bit of a bummer! We also would have loved a simple included breakfast, rather than the only breakfast on property being one we would have had to pay for additionally.
