Andana Resort

I love the place and the ambiance. It’s so peaceful and quiet but i am kind of disappointed, we didn’t get to swim in the beach because we’re scared of the jelly fish. We witnessed a few people got stung, thankfully they have a nice pool. I find the beach pod unique and perfect for barkadas get away but not nice for a family with toddlers because of the bed setting and it’s a shared toilet which is located outside of the room. For family who have kids, i suggest you book the pool view room. The service was great except for the check in area. They made us wait more than an hour before we finally have our room ready.

I like most the scenery

The place is fairly new, comfortable and clean. There seemed to be no one on their bar, the food choices is the same for the whole day, the buffet breakfast was minimal, for an island known for mangoes, there’s no fresh mangoes being served and no fruits served at all. We had to go to the nearby alobijod cove resort for lunch after island hopping and their food is so much better in taste, variety and price. The pool is nice to hangout, but there seemed to be no one serving cocktails. The place catered more to group functions like seminars and trainings, rather than if you’re a solo or couple or family vacationing. If you have elderly family member, there will be problem with going up and down the stairs, going to the beach and back to the pool. Good that they have a van that provides transportation around the facility and from and to the boat terminal. You can swim on the beach area, just be mindful of sea urchins near the docks. There’s an inflatable water bouncy castles and my nephews had a lot of fun playing on it with a guide. This is included on the room charges only good for an hour a day. We never bothered with kayaking, but it’s available. There’s a nearby floating restaurant where you can get something to eat as well and climb a makeshift ladder to jump to the sea. It would have been nicer if there’s a bar near the pool that serves drinks and cocktails all day. I would have enjoyed the stay more.

Relaxing ambiance

Started at reception which was slow. I was given a twin room when I requested a double when booked. Staff is poorly trained especially for what passes as their restaurant.I also was also woken up by one of the staff when they went to the wrong room. There are a number of very poor aspects for this so called resort. There is a pool and that's it, there is nothing else not even drinks service at the pool. They are absolutely no activities. The restaurant is an absolute shocker, it has a few items on the menu and even those they kept saying 'Not Available'. The menu is very basic Filipino and I thought poorly cooked. Its odd that they have two restaurants but only one was open. The other one is accessed by going down 50 odd steps to the sea level if you can be bothered. The cell reception is very poor for both major carriers and the WiFi signal is also very weak. Overall very poorly managed. Not a place I will ever go back to.

Food NOT worth for money value... Expecting a Luxurious

The beach pod is very unique!

I have been to so many resorts, if i have to nickel and dime a negative on this resort, maybe just one. One type of dish was served, and it seems the meat was stored for days and just reheated to be serve...I didnt bother complaining cause im no expert on cooking, but taste/toughness was so off...I still rate the resort though 5 star, regardless.

Tap water is salty , need to desalinate. Food service and quality need improvement so that guests need not to look for good food somewhere else.

Resort is beautiful but service needs a lot of improvement. Check in and check out was a pain. Food was expensive. The pods’ CRs need cleaning. Other staff were friendly though. And they took time out to buy the birthday cake and made beautiful balloons for our grandchild who was celebrating her birthday. Wish the management will hire some experienced managers who has handled similar resorts because the hotel is beautifully done. Unless they do, guests like me would hesitate to come back.
