Quality Inn Sumter

The hotel itself is older but the rooms are clean, updated, and the restaurant at second mill is GREAT . ALYSSA does a great job there. Front desk in the daytime is a bit particular and could use some customer service training or maybe a smile but other than that I recommend this place for the price if staying in SUMTER

Breakfast was terrible.. Towels and bedding very old ..

The service is outstanding. The two ladies that work the front desk and the maintenance guy are great. However, breakfast is awful and the hotel is under renovation, so the parking lot and the rooms have a lot of work in their future. The WiFi in the rooms is super weak, the treadmill in the fitness center doesn’t work, the printer does not print and the air conditioner unit in the room is really noisy. The place is safe at least.

The property was clean, but there were roaches in the hotel. I killed three of them within a couple of hours of each other. One was on the desk too! The lock on the door was loose. One can gently pull it off the wall. There were no racks to hold towels in the bathroom. It had one small hook on the back of the door. Not efficient when you have multiple people in the room. There was new furniture, but the room itself was really old. The outside of the hotel is an eye sore. Quite disappointing. The staff was amazing! They were friendly and very helpful!

We had to ask for service, such as towels and the cleaning of the room, that didn’t happen

The stay was ok. There was some mix-up at check-in but the clerk was able to assist and accommodate. The rate on line and the final bill were different and I am current in the process of clarifying this.

Overall is was a comfortable stay. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The outside athletics are not welcoming, it is an older property but they are trying hard and making improvements. The pool and outside areas are very nice.

The room refrigerator didn’t work, and the ice machine was broken. The coffee pot was dirty, not from coffee stains - wiped the water reservoir with a tissue & it was black. There was no bread/rolls/muffins on the breakfast buffet, only the hot foods. The bathtub did not fully drain while taking a shower.

Great location and value for the price. The property/building is old but they're renovating so our room was nice and the service was good. Also, they include a good hot breakfast. I'd stay there again when I'm in town for business.
