Metropark Lido Hotel Beijing

Make sure that you send a message to the hotel prior to your arrival to confirm that you have the type of room and bed as you ordered it because in my case the hotel staff tried to give me twin beds instead of double bed and this is not nice. Finally I had a double bed and the bed itself was comfortable.

One member of the staff told me that he didn't care if I put a bad comment, the hotel can reach to me if they want to know which of their employee it is. Prior to my trip I sent a message to the hotel, they didn't answer. The hotel kind of far from the subway station. The hotel is a little bit old as the furnitures of the room are as well. The hotel was full, noisy environment, but if you don't mind that, it doesn't matter. The bathroom was old, was looking old, but it was Clean.

Jacuzzi in the spa area is an experience...38-40 degrees celcius! The room is large and clean, the bed comfortable.

It's quite a walk if you go there by public transport, the nearest metro is 20 minutes walk. Staff needs more training, so the check-in can go faster. They were considering to ask for a deposit, which is annoying and unnecessary, since the booking is made via booking.com, where all details are known.

The only thing I didn’t like was the pool attendant. He was a bit bossy and overbearing about the rules of the pool. He made for a tense experience. Otherwise it’s a great hotel. Very modern. They could also suspend with all the security guards around. Men in black suits. Makes you feel like you are being stalked. The restaurant was very good.

The hotel is in a quiet location but good connected. The next subway station is 10 minutes away by bus. In ca. 15 minutes by bus you can reach Liangmaqiao station with Yansha Center. On the opposite side there is a small supermarket and several small restaurants. Although the building is quite old the good side of this old style is a very generous size of the rooms.
