Hilton Garden Inn San Francisco/Oakland Bay Bridge

The whole vibe here was off. From the Jerry rigged clothesline rope cordoning off of the parking lot to obtain fees to the $26 breakfast it was all just a little off. Be aware even guests have to pay $3.50 an hour to park. Handicap plates does not give exception, That's unusual in the hospitality industry. My first room (paying for a view because that's extra) consisted of overlooking the window washers and paint crew. The smell of chemicals possibly rug glue was overwhelming. Upon returning to the desk stating to the manager asking for a room with a view must have been a trick question. After a few minutes of eye rolling our room was transferred. I was satisfied with the second room assignment It was just a drag to go through this at a Hilton. This hotel just us not meet Hilton standards on any level.I'll insert eye roll here. It all appears okay but on a closer look most of the effort put into this location it's just window dressing. Bathroom sink etc on first glance appeared okay on closer examination It could have used a good scrubbing. There are two more Hyatt right down the road that put in due diligence and effort offering a better value and location as well

The staff provided exceptional service. Raguel especially provided exceptional customer service! She assisted me with changes to my reservation as well as an adjustment to my room to accommodate my physical limitations. She also assisted me with how parking works.
