Holiday Inn Frisco by IHG

To whom it may concern. Unfortunately, my stay (8/2-3/24, room 216) was very disappointing and we will not be recommending the hotel to anyone. The restaurant was closed, no hot coffee for guests in the lobby nor complimentary water in the lobby. Most importantly, there was no hot water to take a shower. When we (my wife and I) asked about maintenance for hot water, the staff kept passing the buck. Come back at 7am (see Astrid) and wait for maintenance (Jesus) to arrive at 8am, call the manager (Nick) at 3pm. Now reading other reviews, it is clear the lack of hot water is a known problem, but it seemed the staff had been instructed to dodge the question and say there was nothing they could do about it. To not provide the basics of a hot shower during one’s stay and with no solution is unprofessional in the hospitality business near Vail and Copper Resorts. Sincerely, Frank L. Colorado Springs, CO

Deplorable! These are very bad people. The interstate was closed so to blizzard and HAZMAT accident so they price gouged doubling the rate for people stuck to $629.00 a night. This rate would be acceptable if the level of service was there. The property was filthy, smelly old and dated. I guess they have take advantage of people to be profitable. No reason to stay there under normal circumstances.

There is no restaurant, is under construction, no room service over 3 days, front staff hides, my plugs didn’t work in the bathroom and the room was not deep cleaned at all. “Manager” was not in to talk to and the front person “left a note” to be contacted. Obviously was not done

So, we're in Frisco, been riding all day. Went to check into hotel and guess what. They are currently renovating all of their ADA rooms! Seriously, why did you rent it out if it's not available!! I’m in a wheelchair and the front desk clerk actually asked me if I really needed an ADA room.

Front desk agent was 5 star. He was so helpful and professional. He also provided very helpful local knowledge that really helped us. The room was comfy and clean. Didn’t give 5 stars only because website booking was hours behind actual availability which affected what kind of room we thought we would have.

Room was okay, but hotel was under construction. Paint smell everywhere including room. Pool and restaurant closed. NO staff around. Garbage and construction materials propping up back door. Construction crews took up all parking spaces even though we did not see any guests. Hallways and elevator filthy. Entrance way had construction debris on floor. Not at all Grand! But they gladly took our money.

Run down, poor service, no trash cans outside or in lobby. Plants around pool and spa are are uncared for. Needs a restaurant. Desk attendant was rarely visible. The attendant was sitting in a room adjacent to the desk are contorted his body to reach around the door to print us a receipt and slid the receipt to us through a crack between the wall and plexiglass.

The last few times I've stayed at this hotel I have regretted my decision to stay there. The front desk staff have terrible customer service and are extremely unprofessional and unhelpful. I'm not one to leave reviews. I'm just hoping to spare someone else the trouble. Avoid this place. The front desk staff are untrained and unprofessional.

I've stayed here a few times, and it's always been pretty good, but something has changed! My room had 1 plug behind. the TV, and nothing was plugged in to it, so I had to try and reach behind the huge TV/Dresser and plug in the TV and light. The Kuereg maker on the adjacent table had nowhere to plug it in, so I had to move it to the bedside table. The kuerig machine had 1 decaf cup, that's it. The room smelled like the old carpet powder cleaner used to cover other smells. It was really noticeable. The hotel looks great on the outside, but the inside needs some attention.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON STAYING HERE! I needed a room when I-70 was closed due to accidents and weather on December 22, 2022. The best I can say is that it was maybe a step above sleeping in my car. There was not a single working ice machine in the building. The lock to the room took multiple attempts before it worked EVERY single time you needed in. The smoke alarm wiring hung from the wall with no battery. The water temperature for the shower was warm, never hot. If you let it run hoping it would warm up you got a cold shower. They had to be aware of issues in the bathroom as there was a big piece of drywall that had been cut out and screw backed with no attempt to patch properly. The phone is completely disconnected so there is no way to call down to the desk. If you try to use the wall mounted heating/cooling unit it would not shut off once the room was at the desired temperature. It would be overheated so you turned it off and a little while later so cold you had to turn it back on. This meant you were up and down all night long. This hotel needs a complete overhaul and staff that cares about the guests and their complaints/issues. They could have cared less about customer service. When I stopped at the desk to check out they said "ok, good bye" I had to request a receipt. I was not confident that they would not overcharge for the room!
