Quinta da Magnólia

This place is A-MA-ZING!!! Peaceful setting, wonderful pool, the rooms are very comfortable and immaculate. We stayed in one of the units outside the main building which had a veranda with a table and chairs looking out to the ocean. Enjoyed some wine and cheese in that beautiful setting daily. Lastly, the hosts are extraordinarily helpful. We needed to leave early and they assisted with flight changes and even refunded us for a night. HIGHLY recommend this place for a wonderful vacation!

- Lack of common area to sit by a proper table to play board games or write for instance, on a rainy day. There is a small desk un the room but it doesn’t accommodate 2 people. The only common area consists in sofas and very small coffee tables (not suitable to write or play board games) and closes at 5pm. We asked for a table on a rainy day, it was provided but had disappeared by the time we actually wanted to use it. Ended up going for coffee and dinner at Viscondessa further up the road to play board games in a large table, drink coffee and have dinner - There is also no possibility to make tea/coffee during the day once breakfast is closed at 10am: it would be nice to have a kettle in the room with some tea bags and dehydrated coffee.

Spot-on small hotel, well located, comfortable (w/AC), and family owned & operated with Pedro as the exceptionally personable and all-attentive GM. The hotel has ocean views with Mt Pico in the distance, a refreshing pool, and a strikingly handsome basalt exterior.

Room was spotlessly clean, spacious and comfortable, staff were very helpful and polite, pool area was amazing.

Coffee at breakfast could have been better. Also fresh fruit juice would have been nice.

The daily breakfast was awesome and the people were amazing. They dazzled us daily.

Would not change anything

Very friendly staff, beautiful view, good location, extremely relaxing. We had a wonderful time and would recommend it.

The breakfast didn't start until 830 which was a bit of a bummer.

The view and the walk across the property's pasture down to the ocean were an added bonus. The infinity edge pool with a great overlook was very inviting. Staff greeted us on arrival with a nice welcome drink and gave us some great advice for planning our hiking trip. Breakfast was teriffic.
