The Tan Hill Inn

Everything especially it's location ,I call it the pub at the end of the world.

The outside could be a bit tidier.

Although the car ride was a little scary once off the main road, once we arrived at Tan Hill we loved it - the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, the food was lovely (gorgeous Sunday lunch - compliments to the chef!) and the room was spacious and super comfy.

There was nothing we didn't like about Tan Hill other than the car journey once off the main road but it was well worth it once we arrived.

Staff very welcoming and food was fabulous as was the location.

The mattress was so uncomfortable that we hardly slept.

good breakfast location excellent, meals and drinks spot on. staff brilliant , very helpful best place to stop for Views and entertainment.

lost connection to television in room, seen staff, could not get connected, so could not access TV programmes. also blinds faulty, hooked up on top rail, either up or down, not controlled by cables at side.

Location fab, breakfast excellent.

Moving tables to accommodate people in camper vans outside. Despite staying there we had no where to sit unless during the 1.5 of our table booking

8 of us stayed at Tan hill on a Thursday night. Staff were fabulous. Food fab. Even had some music from people staying. , fabulous evening, great atmosphere. Comfy bed , lovely white , fresh smelling bedding . Breakfast delicious. Highly recommend staying here. We will be back.

If we had to pick something it would be some areas need a good clean. Stairs to bedrooms in particular, Beyond cleaning , maybe put hard surface down so it can be mopped. Bar area needs a good mop but still a very welcoming cosy space.

Accomodation finished to a high standard with a bed comfy. Beautiful traditional old Inn unspoilt with roaring fires adding to the Inns appeal. Home cooked food excellent especially the giant filled Yorkshire puddings! Overall a fantastic location to do some walking, explore the area, recharge & enjoy the atmosphere.
