El personal súper amable, tanto en recepción como en el restaurante….. el hotel precioso, la pieza cómoda, de buen tamaño….. precioso el edificio

Todo estuvo ok… solo el servicio de lavado y planchado es deficiente…no quedé conforme, la ropa muy mal planchada, más bien arrugada

It’s all true- this hotel is brillant. Perfect service, great building, really clean, comfy beds and sheets. Loved my welcome chocolate (so much so I went to the shop!) and drink, and the general ease of things. The main thing to note is that it’s in the Old Town. So if you would prefer to be on the other side of the river, near the Guggenheim, with more upmarket neighbourhood with apartments and nice bars (but less grit and grunge, no narrow streets) then you might want to consider other options of eg Abando, Guggenheim, for similar budgets. Nothing is far, but it’s more of the vibe you prefer. Also bear in mind some of Tayko’s rooms are interior ie have no view or natural light (I often get this option in Spain, as this option is the cheaper one) but you might not mind that or can afford to upgrade if there are rooms with views. Only other feedback was the credit card reader asked if id like to tip 10% upwards, on price of room. Reception staff explained any gratuity is for reception. I was taken rather by surprise: I’d like to have given them something, but was caught off guard. So maybe a jar or tips box would also work, if not too casual. I had to move for my second night in Bilbao, because Tayko was full. The other hotel I went to also had lovely service and rooms- but just not the extraspersonal touch and room extras that Tayko had! And no gifted chocolate 😥

Air conditioning couldn’t be controlled in the room. Hotel info not complete even when scanning the QR code. No “ real “ room service. If you arrive late the hotel options are either over priced restaurant ( Michelin star tasting menu) or what they call room service. Very poor.
