Hilton Tapestry Collection, Hotel Don Fernando De Taos

Only hotel I book while traveling to Taos because of how convenient the location is. The rooms are clean as well as property. The staff is amazing and friendly. I always recommend to friends and family who travel to Taos.

The best hotel in Taos. The rooms are always clean and spacious. The property is well taken care of and we enjoy the amenities they offer.

Photos dont reflect what the reality really is... this looks much more an outdated apartment rather than a hotel. Poorly maintained and the apartments are not connected to the main building. No housekeeping. Apartments are fully exposed and there is no security. I dont recommend.

Room was great. Pool was nice and warm.

In the pool room the air was at 50 degrees. It seems that staff prioritize keeping the humidity down over guest comfort when out of the pool. They did turn the fan off when asked but the air was still cold when getting out of the pool. Breakfast was weird. Chilaquiles was not the traditional dish, it was basically nachos and not great for breakfast. Gravy and biscuits had a tiny amount of gravy over defrosted biscuits. Too many maintenance issues. Ice makers not working and according to other reviews a consistent problem. Washer not available because water was cut off to that building. My building had water off for a while and the restaurant was closed my last morning because of water problems.

The hotel is beautifully decorated and appropriate to the region. The servers in the breakfast room were very nice. Hotel staff at the front desk were friendly and welcoming.

\Cleaning service was often very late and did not change the sheets as requested. We were told there was a dining room open for dinner. Not true; only food available in the bar...not a great selection. We expected to be able to have dinner or room service for dinner occasionally at the hotel.

Bed was terribly uncomfortable,my husband and I both came back home with sore backs. The staff in the breakfast restaurant were absolutely dreadful...messed my simple order of scrambled eggs and the other order was not good, spent $50 totally disappointed. The staff were terribly rude to another group of customers who had been waiting over 30minutes, even though there was only 3 tables of customers eating,the lady asked the staff if they could at least sit down to drink coffee and the staff said YOU NEED TO UNDERSTAND THAT WE ARE SHORT STAFFED SO YIU HAVE TO WAIT!!!!! the customer again asked can we at least sit down and get coffee? The staff said IS THAT ALL YOU WANT? the customer said no we want to eat too Staff said YOU NEED TO WAIT,the 2nd staff member was just as rude to the customers to the point where 2. of the group left ABSOLUTELY NO CONCERN FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE WHATSOEVER

Breakfast was good! It isn’t a buffet that comes with hotel fee but none the less it was nice having a “restaurant” meal steps away!

Can’t complain!
