Bear Inn, Somerset by Marston's Inns

Breakfast cooked choice was very good, continental parts just enough, spacious room, check-in process painless, easy to access at all hours, no problem finding a parking space.

Worth spelling out to guests in the pre-visit message that although it's a paying car park (£12 a day), you can ignore the payment signs and simply give your reg number to the reception. Even so, ensure you are in a Bear Inn parking space (not the public ones). It's central location by the main road means you may well hear the odd vehicle going by - if so, take ear plugs.

The room was spacious and very comfortable. Very good evening meal. Hilary was especially helpful. The room was good value for money. I have now been staying at the Bear for 10 years!
