"Satisfactory for budget motel"

6.0

Room was satisfactory. A little paint around elevator would really raise my review. Kind of worn. Lobby help was extremely slow. I did not like that i had to carry my belongings to third floor. Scary elevator. Windows to room needed cleaned. Just not easy to get in and out of.

This property was very dirty, run down and there was mold on the back of my door in my room. The room smelled moldy, until I ran the air down to 67degrees to get it better. The woman next door was talking so loud it was as if she was in my room till 1am. If there were rooms available elsewhere I would have moved but they were sold out because of the Marine Corp Graduation. The people were nice and the breakfast was ok, but I would not stay here again. Semper Fi!

"worst night in a hotel ever"

2.0

room was dirty, and i do mean dirty. condom wrapper on the floor on side of the end table. lamp shade on desk light looked like it had been burnt. Phone did not work, toilet did not flush properly. Just not a room I would want to stay in. If there was a good point the breakfast was good and the lady working the breakfast was really nice and kept things stocked.was at parris island for my grandsons boot camp graduation. went to check in and was told they would have a room ready at 2:30 came back at 2: 45 and a different lady was at the desk and she rudely said check in is at 4. too rude, Will not stay at a quality inn again if they are all like this.

"DO NOT EVEN BOTHER STAYING HERE"

2.0

This is long but I have to explain this Whole disaster beginning to end. I booked this hotel because it was close to Parris Island where we were going to see our son graduate Marine bootcamp after 13 long weeks. This trip was a family trip which included my 6 week old granddaughter and my 85 year old grandmother. We arrived Wednesday evening after a 7 hour drive. Upon arrival it was check in time. 6 people were in line ahead of me, the lady at the desk was working alone, several other, what I assume, employees came out and stuck their heads out and walked out to get utensils because they were eating. I did hear the woman mention something about people not helping and dont bother asking if she needed help now she was almost caught up. She was very thorough with checkin and while she was swamped she did not rush through the check in process. I wish I could remember her name, something similar to Nylie? After 25 minutes she finally had us checked in to our rooms. We pulled to the end of the parking lot to unload our things near the wheelchair access for my grandmother to get to the elevator. When we got out of the cars about 8-10 people were sitting at the picnic tables at the end of the parking lot smoking weed, because the smell was overwhelming, that was fine do you, and blasting music but some of them were the same ones inside that were employees. Trash was everywhere around the picnic tables. The dumpster had old mattresses and furniture piled around it oh and at night you see the numerous raccoons which were actually cute! Upon entering room #1 the musty, mildew smell was horrible, the carpet was disgusting and the furniture was about 15 years past needing to be replaced. The paint on the door was peeling and bathroom walls were also peeling and dirty. Room #2 did not have the smell room #1 did, the door looked like it had once been busted down or attempted as it was splitting. The ceilings of both rooms looked like they were molding in places. I walked into the bathroom of room #2 and toilet paper was in the toilet, I flushed it but the toilet barely flushed. So I walked down to the office and told her the toilet was messed up as it had toilet paper still in it when we got to the room. The man came within 20 minutes, plunged the toilet and said it was fine. My husband used the bathroom and it in fact was not fine. My husband went down to the office again and told her it still wasn't fixed and she said he would be up soon. After 30 minutes I went down and asked her if we had to be in the room when he came because we were going to dinner she said no that we were fine to leave. We arrived back about an hour later and when we got to our floor and turned the corner we could see the plunger sitting outside our door. I thought ok he left it in case it happened again? Just sitting outside the door...classy, hygienic too! We go in the room and he did not fix the toilet, it was still the same as when we left so my husband ended up plunging the toilet himself, fine they didnt want to plunge a dirty toilet. The toilet would not flush fully at all and kept backing up. My son and daughter in law were on their way with our grandbaby around 11pm and I told them I would stay up until they arrived as they were sharing a room with us. Once they arrived we got everything settled, all the baby's things setup and she and I were laying on the bed and my son and daughter in law were on the other bed unwinding playing on their phones. Around 12:30 my daughter in law sits up on the bed and says "what is that?!" Turns out "that" crawling up her arm was a bedbug!!! I immediately began tearing the sheets off their bed to which I found the most disgusting box spring I had ever seen it was splotchy black and looked almost moldy and the mattress protector was ripped and looked as though it had blood stains on it and had obvious signs of bedbugs. I had checked the corners of the beds first thing as I always do but didnt find anything, apparently I need to start looking better! We began gathering our things as I was not having my granddaughter sleeping in that room or risking bedbugs getting into our things. My husband went downstairs, bedbug in a Ziploc bag still alive, in tow. The lady at the desk was very apologetic and understanding but due to graduation and the evacuees from Hurricane Helene they had no rooms left. We woke everyone up in room #1 they tore the beds apart and thankfully did not find any signs of bedbugs. We decided our bunch from room #2 would leave and go find another hotel, room #1 was ok staying since they found no signs of bedbugs and it was after 1 am we didnt want to get my grandmother out again unless necessary. The lady did say she would refund our money for room #2 for both nights. We drove around and stopped and called and jumped on hotel booking sites and could find nothing even remotely close that had any available room. It was, like I said, graduation and Helene evacuees so I knew it would be hard. We had to be at Parris Island at 6:30 am and at this point it was already going on 3am so we opted to just have waffle house and waste time and ride around until we needed to be to Parris Island for family day. By this time all of us had been up almost 24 hours. I did finally find a hotel available in Savannah an hour away and we went ahead and booked it for Thursday night. Family day was a wonderful time for our sleepy crew and we refused to let the hotel disaster ruin this time for us. We finally made our way to our hotel in Savannah which was a Hilton with an ocean view which was amazing. After getting settled and going to dinner we all were up 41 hours but we made the best of it, baby included. The remaining bunch back at room #1 said they already had people in the bed bug room the following evening. I realized I had left my $160 boots in the room and my husband called the hotel but the lady said no one would be available to check until 10am and I said you know what just forget the boots the bedbugs can wear them. I would give this hotel 0 stars if possible. The only decent thing was the ladies at the front desk.
