Quality Inn At Town Center

Worn out. Air conditioner left everything feeling “clammy”. Chair was missing a caster, no hangers for cloths, door had been pushed in leaving it with an unsafe feel. Lamp shade was yellowed with age. I could go on.

Liked the quietness

The staff at front desk were very nice and friendly. Gave excellent directions to room & general information. The cleaning staff did have the room clean and ready. The inside of the doors were very dirty with black handprints and smudges. This was the front and bathroom doors. Carpet inside entry had black marks. Above bathroom sink ceiling had 2 smashed flies and dark marks. You can not walk to historic downtown from here, need to drive or Uber.

The room was dingy and dirty. No lamp shades on lamps. Blood splatters on bathroom door, looked as if someone sat there shooting up drugs, room smelled like urine and mold, had many problems with room key resulting in the door not opening which resulted in many trips to the office. Microwave was dirty and dingy. It is the worst Hotel I have ever stayed at.

229 the door needs to replaced. It doesn't close completely. It looks like it been kicked in.

The Quality Inn has so much going for it but seems to need a little TLC to get it to the 4 rating property it could be. Located in the Town Center area with nice landscaping and an attractive facade, but paint and touch ups are needed everywhere. In our room the lampshades were stained brown, lights were burnt out and service areas had ice and soda machines pulled out looking rundown. The pool is attractive, but the poolside needed some simple cleaning like much of the hotel. The positives are the location, price and a terrific continental breakfast that had 2 kinds of waffles, eggs, great biscuits and sausage gravy. Very good muffins, pastries and single serve cereal containers, yogurts, juices and fruits rounded out the breakfast. The staff was very friendly, and I wonder why management hasn't addressed some of these simple fixes.

Doors were not sealing and swelling from heavy rust, Lamp shades were rotting and moldy and there was a container of Korean kimchi behind the dresser. October ‘24 expiration at least though… staff super friendly though. Great people, just rough property and maintenance.

We have stayed at this property many times, but it’s been at least five years since our last stay. I was shocked at how the inside of the rooms had deteriorated. There was a lamp without a shade, walls were filthy, room literally stunk, carpet was disgusting. At least they had a pool. But when we woke up the next morning and could see the pool, it was green with algae. What were they thinking? It was Memorial Day weekend. How do you not have your pool ready for that? The African American receptionist was extremely nice and let us leave early and refunded us our money. The red-headed receptionist was not so nice. I hate that the place has gone down like this. My mother has cancer and is in Beaufort, so my family will be needing a place to stay fairly often here in the future. Unfortunately, it won’t be at Quality Inn at Town Center. :(

This hotel was centrally located to our needs. We enjoyed the quiet and peaceful nights. Well worth our trip!
