Solomons Inn Resort and Marina

The lobby looks great and a lot of breakfast options for free. However the rooms have been updated but not the hallways, elevators or carpet. They allow animals so there was a barking dog all hours of the night and the room smelled terrible. The cleaning person came in and took the trash and gave new towels but didn’t make the beds ? When asked was told they were already gone for the day. The second day a young man was cleaning the rooms and he was not wearing any type of uniform and appeared very very young. He had 3-4 carat of cleaning stuff and carts etc in the hall most of the day right near my room so I could hear his conversations and music.

We had several problems while there. The major one of which was the electrical outlets in room. Not only were there not enough but some were damaged. We had to buy an extension cord just to charge our phones. We also were told a lie when they closed the pool in sunday evening 4 hours early. We were given a certificate for later stay but told we couldn't get a refund of any kind bc we booked thru bookimg.com. that will keep us from using booking.com in the future. Were also told we couldn't upgrade our room bc we used booking Com

My staff was really with the exception of one staff member who seemed to just give EVERYONE a hard time. He was wrong with some of the procedures of the hotel and his body language and gestures were sort of unpleasant. He was kind of a larger guy with glasses , looked a little older than other staff members. Everyone else I encountered were wonderful to us and other guests.

Not comming back

This should not be called a Resort. It is a medium quality hotel, at best. The pool doesn't open til 3pm and is freezing cold. The outlets didnt work, nor the telephone to reach the front desk. We did not recieve fresh towels and the rooms weren't cleaned daily. A great disappointment and we will definitely not return.

The pool was amazing, The breakfast was good. The room was comfortable and a pretty good size. They allow pets and they even habe dog treats for their furry guests.

There isn't much negative I can say. The mini fridge could have been bigger.
