Riverfront Hotel

This isn't a fancy place by any means, but I'm willing to bet back in it's day it was the bomb!!! We walked out back to the river where the pictures on the website were once taken. Even though it looks nothing like the old pictures if you take the walk down to the water it is beautiful!!! It was very busy and the staff was polite. The bed was clean and the room was clean, new tile in the bathroom . Yes the wallpaper is coming off and the carpets need to be replaced but it didn’t stink and we slept well.

Great facility, too bad it needs more maintenance

The picture shown for the hotel's website is misleading. Although the hotel's name is "Riverfront" there is no view, nor is there a lawn looking out over the river. The hotel is in poor repair, especially the exterior, which is likely why the picture was used.

The rooms were nice and clean but one shower didn’t work. There was some undesirable people wandering at night, fighting and yelling in the parking lot from 2-3am.

Here's a list of the red flags 1. I was the only one checking in 2. All the facilities were closed 3. I was told the hotel was closing down 4. The bed spread was dusty 5. The carpet was torn up 6. The ac didn't work and made alarming noises 7. I was on the first floor and the windows didn't look like they locked properly 8. The bathroom ceiling and tub were falling apart 9. The hotels.com photo included a jacuzzi tub, but the reservation did not include a jacuzzi tub. And 10. There are multiple reviews of people staying at the hotel saying that someone tried to get into their room I checked out of the room after being there for 10 minutes. 0/10 don't stay there for your own safety.

The employees were all friendly and helpful. It was awesome to be able to walk down to explore along the river and view Canada across the river.

Location is fantastic but, unfortunately the hotel was pretty bad. Walls falling apart. Pieces of the wall on the floor maybe for weeks, I don't know. The rooms were ok at best but the location is fantastic.

The picture shows a lovely view and yard to sit in. The trees have grown so you cant really see the river any more and the outside of the hotel and yard need some work. That being said the room was clean and bed was comfortable. The breakfast was biscuits and gravy, waffles, eggs, etc. So it was a good breakfast. The area is really quiet. We would stay there again.

Not sure where the “property photo” was taken, but it was not here! The carpet in the room/rooms was disgusting, I couldn’t even walk on it without shoes. In the morning a fire alarm went off, no one seemed concerned except for me and a guy next door! the maid down the hall just shrugged her shoulders and shook her head. I couldn’t bring myself to eat the breakfast included with my stay, just showered and left! The property surroundings out back were creepy! Was not a 140.00 a night motel!

Place needs a deep cleaning and an update.
