Spark By Hilton Akron Fairlawn

I recently stayed at this hotel, and it was a deeply disappointing experience. The room and hotel hallways had visible mold and a strong mildew smell, making it uncomfortable to breathe. When they did have towels available they were rough, scratchy, and felt like sandpaper. To make matters worse, there was no housekeeping during my stay, and the room had noticeable surface dirt on the tables and floors. Customer service was unhelpful and dismissive of any concerns. We would’ve left, but due to professional activities going on many hotels in the area were sold out. I would not recommend staying here unless improvements are made. This hotel appears as though it’s days from going out of business

Very outdated facility. The staff member in the dining room was very friendly and an outstanding staff member (old lady. Name Melia???) What an asset to Holiday Inn.

Convenient, close to shopping. Low price

Breakfast was cold. No eggs left. Staff person was eating in breakfast room. Furniture was old worn and dirty. Hotel in terrible condition. Was informed the hotel was soon going to be demolished.

The Front Desk Staff was excellent , but it stopped there. Rooms were clean for what they were. No shower curtain, just a half glass wall so water went on the floor. Black mold in the 4th floor hallway, dents & miss matched touch up paint. Stones falling out of the front of the building & landscaping looks like it hasn't been done all season. And to top off Our stay , we wake up to 5 Cop cars and 2 suspects in the parking lot.

Really nice place close to Akron, Canton and convenient getting to and from Cleveland Hopkins or Akron Canton airports.

The room's 'air conditioner didn't smell great when we arrived and worsened throughout the night. I finally shot it off at 4am because it smelled awful. Breakfast consisted of pop tarts and other pre-packaged snacks.

We woke up in the morning to a very pungent smell of weed. The smell was so strong, we got up early to go home. We informed the front desk and she said it was “probably just a skunk outside”, we were staying on the third floor.
