Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham Havelock

My room was covered in dust. It was fine for just the night I stayed, Just chaotic. There was a bucket in the middle of my room and when I asked the front desk about it they gave me a new room no questions which I really appreciated.

Room was not cleaned. There was a used wash cloth in the tub and there was actual body dirt on the shower wall near the wash cloth. I took picture and showed to front desk who said that they would clean while I went to get something to eat. When I came back he removed wash cloth but tub was not cleaned. I took towel and disinfectant spray to see if it would come off and it did so they were just being lazy and not cleaning properly. I read reviews after I already rented and someone else had the same problem of wash cloth being left behind. The outside of the building looks really good because of the blue lighting but that about the only thing that I liked about it. I won't be staying there again. I also recommend reading reviews prior to booking.

This place was a dump.

Do NOT stay here! The female staff lady chased me down the hall saying something about keeping her floors clean, not sure why, floors were filthy! Bathroom had hair trimmings in toilet, shower amenities were strewn on the floor, no breakfast, female staff lady was extremely rude to the male staff guy about making sure before we check out that he throughly check the room especially the floor and bed to make sure they aren’t messed up. Booked a king size bed but was told they didn’t have it so given two doubles. Room has roaches, place very run down. Only stay if absolutely necessary, that’s the only reason we were there

Great stay

I arrived at 5pm and just ended up leaving at 9pm. The person at the front desk was rude when I first checked in. When you first walk in there's a sign that states no pool or breakfast despite the website saying otherwise. The first room given to me had issues with the Wifi connecting to the TV. I asked front desk about it; there was "nothing he could do." So I step out right quick and when I come back, the key card wasn't working. Front desk explains that the door may be broken so he moves me into another room but lets me know that I basically had to slam myself into the door to open it. That's how hard it was to get it to open. He suggested I left my room door cracked whenever I step out to avoid it jamming again. The TV in that wasn't working either and it seemed like the mount was broke too and hanging off a little. Overall, staff was unprofessional and I felt unsafe.

Convenient location. Roaches in room.

The place was absolutely filthy inside and out. Outside trash cans were over flowing with trash and cigarette butts all over. My first room had dirty linens, lights didn't work, tv didn't work. Moved to second room. The room was covered in mold. Third room was ok. Floors were dirty leaving socks black. No safety lock inside the door, broken, and adjoining room door safety lock was broken. I booked the room for location convenience and the fact that it had a pool and served breakfast. Both pool and breakfast were not available.

I know cheap motels/hotels can be a little gross sometimes but this place is disgusting, and I could list 10 more things in this room that I've never seen in 20 years of staying at cheap motels/hotels. I thought all the bad reviews were just people being overdramatic, nope they're all accurate. I've never walked out of a hotel I paid for before but there is no amount of money you could pay me to stay in this place. All the response comments from the management saying they will immediately address the issues are a joke, they haven't cleaned or put a dollar into fixing this place. If you're in Havelock please stay anywhere but here!
