Hilton Head Island Beach & Tennis Resort

This was a great kid friendly place to stay for our quick weekend get away with the grandkids. Once we got our groceries, there was no need to leave again. The play ground and kiddie pool were the biggest hits after playing on the beach!

After booking with Expedia we were handed off to VTrip. VTrip contacted us after booking a room. We were told the HVAC unit wasn't working and to select a different room from the (2) they sent us. We selected a from the picture and we were also told the room was an upgrade. Once my wife and I walked in the room we were met with an overwhelming smell of mold. The ceiling was stained, the wallpaper was pealing off the walls, the floor was disgusting, and the pillows were stained brown. We contacted VTriip and was told someone will be responding to see the room. My wife and I waited outside on the deck (of course) for about and hour. After an hour we contacted VTrip again and asked when the person will be at our location. The male on the phone stated "know one is coming and that he don't even see any complaints in the notes". My wife and I argued for another hour with VTrip and of course got no ware. At this point my wife and I grabbed our bags and left. We were forced to go to another hotel that costed us an additional $150.00. The next day I contacted the manager because there wasn't one around during the above incident. (7pm and we left approx. 9pm). She told me she would refund my money however, Expedia will subtract fees and taxes and forward the rest to us. Who ever reads this be careful booking with Expedia they will hand you over to a different company without you knowing until you book. Expedia will then take some of your money for doing nothing.

I think this is one of the best rooms I've stayed in so far and my many years of coming to hhi. Close proximity to the beach was a plus! Big island in the kitchen was a great addition!

I did not like the bedroom not having a ceiling fan. Left the room feeling of stale air, which made it hard to sleep comfortably. I would also like to see a detachable shower head to get those hard to clean areas. Did not love spectrum.

It was a huge pool wonderful. Right in the beach which was amazing Day staff

The rooms are quite old. We had to switch to a better room the first one was really old and the bed was awful. They were so good about switching us. The new villa was completely renovated and just lovely. Would definitely stay again. Just check the room out first. Alll in all a great stay

Short wall to ocean

Booking a ocean view and getting put in a resort view them getting changed to ocean view with no ocean view then getting lied to about waiting for room to be cleaned only to get a call saying I had to get a key at 353 because the door was never programmed Rude staff no towels in room refrigerator broken Hated this happen it was my favorite place

The elevator was not working and we were on the 3rd floor of building A.

We had a grest place to stay for our first time to hilton head. The pool was great and the distance to ocean was awesome. I would go back.

Good pool. Good beach access.

Could not find wifi router because it was pushed back on the book shelf under the TV. You should have a picture of it in the welcome packed for easier identification. The staff just said it was under the TV. There were two other devices under the TV. Did not know which device they meant. The electrical receptacles in the bed room are too far from the night stand. Need to be moved within 1' from the night stands. Kept banging my leg on the bed frame. Need to get a better design that does not have a sharp corner. Only one side of the building has the building number on it. Could not find our building at night in the pouring rain. Should have the building letter on both wings of the building.

distance to private beach is great. Nice to rent a condo for a larger group and still have hotel amenities.

The condo was very clean and spacious. The condo we stayed in was outdated furniture and appliance wise but it was very clean. The amenities are wonderful. The ice cream stand beside the pool was a nice touch for the kids. The summer events and the pool were also nice and provided something to enjoy while taking a break from the beach which was just a short walk away. The restaurant at the resort also had amazing pizza and wings. Will definitely stay again. Only downside was the elevator was out our whole stay so it was aggravating having to carry in everything up the stairs and carry everything back out down the stairs but overall it was a nice trip.
