Newport Marriott Hotel & Spa

Quick check in process. Centrally located so walking downtown was easy and safe. The water machine is huge bonus. My kids want one in our house now

What a disappointment this place is. Very expensive for what you get. $800 per night for a substandard Marriott. The rooms are tiny. My wife and I kept bumping into each trying to unpack. The staff is rude. The woman who checked us in made fun of my name. They have this stupid "destination fee" policy where, when you check in, they say, "Surprise - we're going to charge you an additional $30 per day and you have to spend it here at the hotel, but only for this and not for that." Then, you get your bill and see that they obfuscate what was charged and what was credited. The elevators are slow. They have a Starbucks in the hotel but the line is always slow and long and it closes at noon, becaise no one wants coffee after noon, right? Just stay next door at The Brenton Hotel. It's a little more expensive, but you get what you pay for in this case, whereas you do not with this Marriott.

Hotel and staff were great. Wish there had been an outdoor pool. Not clear 8n description. Also, no real access to nearby beach.

The location can’t be beat. You can walk everywhere. No complaints about the rooms. We splurged and got a room with a private patio overlooking the marina. Was great to enjoy that space in the morning with coffee and a book. Would stay again if we returned to Newport!

The view from the room was nice, would have loved to have a balcony to go out on to.

The price of the room was very high, for what you get. The restaurant menu was very limited, we actually got up and left, and didn’t order anything. Was very put off with the forced valet parking.

This hotel is beautiful and very clean, beautifully decorated and the restaurant options were amazing. However, the staff at the front desk were a bit rude and weren’t incredibly helpful. Valets and restaurants staff were amazing though!

Beautiful and very well-run property! My family and I had a two-night stay, we really enjoyed the property, which was centrally located, walking distance to all the Newport attractions, and town. The room was immaculate, spacious, modern, well lit and well-maintained with a very pleasant housekeeping staff, saying good morning every day, and asking if we needed anything else during our visit. The lobby was beautiful, well layout and had great leadership presence; we met both Laura, the Front Office Manager, and Marc, the Director of Operations during our stay who thanked us for our stay and took the time to make some recommendations on their favorite local spots. We greatly appreciated the option for valet parking; the valet team had a great system where you can text them and the car will be waiting for you by the time you get down to the front drive… very efficient and a huge time saver. The dining options were also very nice including one of my favorite M-Clubs. The food was delicious and we were pleased to see the wide variety of breakfast options, including an amazing omelet from a very personable Millie! We also met Alexis in the lounge who was welcoming and ensured we were all set with out breakfast and busy day ahead. Each day ended with a relaxing night at the pool and a good night’s rest in very comfortable beds. We look forward to out next visit and hope to see the wonderful staff at the Newport Marriott again in the near future.

Marriott was a wonderful spot for our stay in Newport! Central to all the activities - restaurants and bars — shopping etc. Across from the ballpark was fun!! Took in a Gulls game too. Amenities were wonderful - new outside area next to indoor salt water pool was perfect.

Hotel was nice, area was fantastic but too many extra charges at this hotel. Overall, not worth the cost.
