Excellent breakfast buffet and location.

This Thon Hotel was perfect in every way. So centrally located. Right next to the Bryggen area and so close to fabulous restaurants. We walked everywhere including to the Bybanen to get to the Fantoft Stave Church and to the pier to get our ferry to Balestrand. The rooms are super comfortable, beds are great and that wonderful included breakfast is not to be missed. But the best part is the staff here. So welcoming, friendly and helpful. You must stay here!

Awesome location. Very comfortable hotel with sumptuous breakfast buffet.

Good location, clean, good breakfast. Bathroom was funky (like a modular bath added after the fact), but this was conveniently located and reasonably quiet despite its proximity to all the action in Bergen. Staff were all great and helpful.

Situated in the Bryggen area of Bergen. It’s in an area where there are lots of bars, restaurants and small nicky nack tourist shops. Checking in was efficient and painless. The Receptionist was welcoming and friendly. Our room on the fifth floor was accessed by lift. The bedroom is not what I would large but was big enough to accommodate a king size bed two easy chairs and a desk which doubled up as a dressing table Lighting was good and bright enough to be able to read a book in bed. Our room had usual tea and coffee complementary tray and also a minibar. The bathroom was small but adequate. It had a shower but no bath. There is a hairdryer in the bathroom. The plug in the wash hand basin did not work. It leaked water out meaning that you had to keep the tap running which wasted hot water. Staff should have noticed this when cleaning and servicing the room prior to our arrival. The room was equipped with an iron and ironing board. There was a television with a smattering of channels to choose from. I only found Sky News as an English language channel but there were other channels, which were partially in English with sub titles. Breakfast was buffet style and presented well. There was something to suit most tastes. Regrettably food items like bacon and potatoes which are usually served hot where only luke warm and not so nice. Generally this good hotel which I would be happy to return to and recommend to others.
