Thon Hotel Rosenkrantz

Bright and modern decor - rooms were very spacious and beds comfortable. I would say that more storage space would have been helpful. Breakfast was very good - with plenty of options. Staff were all very pleasant. Hotel was situated in a quiet street within walking distance of the centre of Bergen with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby.

The basic room we booked was smaller than the room we had on our cruise so we upgraded to superior and it was perfect. Great bed. Nice bathroom. Lots of room for luggage. Totally worth the upgrade fee. Excellent location for meeting tour buses and for walking to all the key sights.

We stayed two nights in this hotel which sits just behind the Bryggen near the port area. The hotel has a contemporary feel but is housed in traditional wooden buildings characteristic of the area. The hotel is extremely well located for restaurants and must see cultural spots. The efficient front desk operation soon had us in our corner room with a large curved bay window overlooking the waterfront. The room was well equipped with everything we required. The breakfast was impressive with the vast array on offer and the spicy vitamin shots hit the spot to set you up for the day.

We enjoyed staying at Thon Hotel Rosenkrantz Bergen. It is convenient to all tourist spots. We walked everywhere. The room was spotless. The hotel staff was accommodating and helpful. The breakfast was out of this world with numerous hot and cold dishes. We highly recommend this hotel if you are in Bergen.

A very comfortable hotel at an excellent location, in the heart of Gryggen. Many shops and restaurants near by. The included breakfast was exellent.

We stayed here for 2 days and our room was SO hot. We called the front desk 3 different times for them to fix it and they kept saying they would “change it from the basement.” Nothing changed and we got no sleep for 2 nights. We couldn’t open the window because it’s on such a loud busy street. Very poor customer service.

The property is in an ideal location with the UNESCO site of the painted buildings, with the harbor a few blocks away as well as the funicular. Getting a taxi was convenient as they came right to the front door. Beautiful hotel and one of the best hotel buffets for breakfast that we have ever had—they had a huge variety!

Quick one night stay. Very friendly and helpful front staff. Helped provide directions and get an early morning taxi. Stayed in a room with a queen bed and sofa bed, with the sofa bed being fairly comfortable. Quirky reading area in the room which we thought was funny. Close to a lot of sights in Bergen.

Great location, friendly staff good breakfast. The room was very warm in the room and the fan isn’t big enough to cool the room down. So be prepared to have a warm sleeping night.
