Batman's Hill on Collins

The best possible location - SO convenient if you're coming from Southern Cross Station. That's by far the best part - you really can't beat it for ease of access. The soundproofing is decent and I like that there's 24 hour staffing at the front desk so you can basically check in whenever - again, great for travellers. The bed was fairly comfy, but nothing groundbreaking. The doona was pretty thin, but there's aircon with a remote so I was still comfortable temperature-wise. The room is a bit boring, but clean and functional.

The "24 hour room service menu" is actually only two kinds of pizza after 10pm. And then they couldn't even do that for some reason and I had to leave the hotel to get food anyway. :( There's a McDonald's right across the road so I wasn't going to starve or anything, but it was still pretty disappointing when I'd been travelling all evening and didn't want to have to leave the room again before bed. Also the breakfast buffet was just ok. The shower took several minutes to warm up and then would only be boiling or freezing, no in between.

Very convenient location close to trains and city centre. Great value for money. 24 hour desk made my late arrival time easy. Friendly staff.

Room was clean, but basic and could do with some updating.

Close to local amenities and everything we needed

Unlike on previous occasions our room was quite small and did not have a separate sink in the bathroom. The sink was also quite low(even for a short person like myself) The heating in the room blew out cold air for the initial 20 minutes it was on so it made the room very cold. The shower was 2 temperatures. Either scalding hot or cold.
