Econo Lodge Inn & Suites Chambersburg Central

I had the absolute misfortune of staying at the Econo Lodge, and it was a nightmare from start to finish. The room was filthy, with dirt and grime everywhere. To make matters worse, there was no hot water for the entirety of my stay, making showers unbearable. The place was infested with cockroaches, which made it impossible to feel comfortable or safe. The so-called sofa bed was a joke, split into two pieces that didn’t connect and constantly fell apart. This was easily the worst hotel experience I've ever had. Avoid at all costs!

Staff was very nice I checked in and checked out. I would stay there again in the future.

Having stayed at Econo Lodge Check in - 5/25/24 and Check out - 5/26/24, this is my review: The bed is comfortable The room was relatively clean The morning desk clerk when I checked out was very courteous and verbally clear so understanding what she had to say was not a problem.

Not enough light in the room; insufficient illumination from lamps and lights Television did not work Microwave did not work Room near empty with very little adornment on walls Desk clerk - Although courteous, he is/was very difficult to understand; having to repeatedly ask questions for repeated answers to strive for clarification on what he was saying Desk clerk also very slow and computer system extremely slow Check in took almost 15 minutes "Continental breakfast" was very poor Only coffee, a few pieces of fruit, a couple of sad looking muffins, apple juice NO tea bags Nothing but flavored creamer No sweeteners A rate of 4 out of 10 😒 I rec'd a message about a request I made to the motel to check-in to the room a couple hours ahead of usual check in time as I was attending a wedding and needed to change and freshen up before traveling to the event. My room had no shade on the window, just dark blinds. I couldn't keep the curtain open knowing anyone could walk by at any moment. Also, no hair dryer, iron, or ironimg board was available in the room or otherwise at the front desk. The bathroom was FILTHY! It looks like the baseboards hadn't been cleaned in years. Part of the new Pergo floor was missing going into the bathroom. The shower barely worked (handle didn't want to turn on or off completely). The bathroom ceiling was a mess, like there was water damage at some point and caulking was used to patch it up. All the caulking was a mess. The sink was dirty as well. No hangers in the closet to use either. The AC unit was turned off when i first got the room and the temperature had to be in the mid-70s in there. It was almoat 90 outside. And the final nail was that the remote didn't work at all!

Other guests were loud in the hallway playing music at 3am. Had to really complain to get management to do anything and it didn't help.

It was suitable for what we needed.

It was a pleasurable stay. Clean room, comfortable bed and quiet setting.

My stay at the Econolodge was quite nice. The staff was polite and kind. The room was very nice, and heard hardly any outside noise.

The room and bathroom were very clean. The bed was very comfortable with fluffy pillows and extra soft sheets. The water pressure was excellent and the hot water was plentiful. The heater was quiet, the refrigerator and freezer worked well. The ice froze in the freezer and my lettuce didn't freeze in the fridge! The television was easy to use. I didn't need a book to figure it out. The staff was welcoming and helpful. Jack even told me what station we needed to watch the show we wanted to watch. We will definitely stay again. We felt very safe staying here.
