Thon Hotel Polar

We arrived earlier than 3pm and even though we’d booked one of the most expensive rooms, the room wasn’t available until 3pm. This is quite unlike other Thon Hotels we’ve used. Obviously there’s no additional benefits for those booking more expensive rooms. Thon had sold us card vouchers worth Kr 600 to spend in the hotel but these are almost impossible to use which is a shame. I wanted to buy bottled beer to take back to the UK but reception refused to sell me these. The carpet outside Room is dangerously defective and a significant trip hazard. Breakfast was good as expected but the tables are very close together, unlike other Thon hotels we’ve stayed at. A shame that Thon misled us with the vouchers they sold me!!!!

Stayed here twice during a 9-day visit to Norway and the hotel was brilliant - great location, incredible breakfast, fab rooms, great staff, place was warm and very comfortable...can't fault it

Sehr zentral gelegen.

Small rooms but comfortable. Quite expensive but all hotels in Tromso are expensive and this one offers better value than the others. Comfy beds, not noisy at all, and a superb breakfast - one of the best we've ever had - with excellent provision for gluten-free too.
