Holiday Inn Harrisburg - Hershey Area, I-81 by IHG

We enjoyed our trip to the Holiday Inn Harrisburg - Hershey Area. We understand the Hotel is remodeling however we did have problems in our rooms the door stops were falling off the wall, and in room 417 the face piece of the sink fell off and needs major repair.

Hotel was in good shape minus some minor flaws like the toilet seat being a little broken and the temp knob on the fridge being broken. A little disappointed that the hot tub wasn't in service, but it was great to have an indoor and outdoor pool. Staff was great and friendly and hotel food options were nice. Definitely planning to stay here again for our next trip.

This property was a nightmare. It was mold inside of the bathrooms. The carpet looks like it never been cleaned. The curtains had blood stains on them. The beds were uncomfortable. The refrigerator had an odor. Mold on our room door look like someone tried to get in it.

My favorite part was that it was pet friendly! Really nice hotel with a lot to do right on the premises. The only complaint I had was that the ac would come on, turn off, turn on, turn off. It would get hot and I would wake up and it would turn on and cool off. I hardly slept.

This hotel should not still be in service. Yes it is being renovated but it is in very rough shape. Booked a 2 bed and sofa room and did not get that room because all the sofa bed rooms are being redone apparently. I paid more for a room I did not get. As soon as you park you can smell the mold and mildew from this hotel. Both pools and hot tub were not in service, which is also why we booked for the kids to enjoy after spending the day at Hershey park. The hot tub was emptied out and both pools were very green. If these are not going to be in service then it needs to be communicated. The doors are all warped and the elevators had a smell that I can not describe. They have a breakfast option there, it was a normal continental breakfast, which is fine. But all the milk that was out was in small containers that expired the week prior. The room was clean which was the only reason we didn’t pack up and leave. I will say the staff were very friendly. This hotel has the potential to be nice but they should co side closing till all the renovations are done, per the comments I am seeing these renovations have been going on for a year. We normally stay at a hotel nearby but wanted to try a different place, wishing I just stuck to our original place

We went with a softball tourney that my granddaughter was playing with. We registered late and was not given the team discount(our fault for calling late but could have been considered).We paid almost 100 dollars more. The hotel under construction and hot tub was not in operation. (big disappointment. Outside pool very dirty both water and all around the outside and chair and table location. The smell of marijuana through the halls of the floor we were on was quite unpleasant. We will not be staying at his hotel again and has changed the opinion I have of the Hilton Brand. I really expected more for the price .

Convenient location.

The hotel was under renovations and they did not share this. The place smelt musty and the hot tub wasn't running and the pool was dirty. The only good thing was that the room was clean.

Very nice hotel but construction projection going on and the pool was closed in July. Someone didn't think that out too well.
