Staff very friendly and helpful .We were going to be very late in after leaving Glasgow at18-00 they went out of their way to accommodate a late arrival ,which in the end we did not need arriving at 10-45.Rooms great and breakfast extremely good.

The location, building, restaurant and room were all amazing. Done to a really good standard. Staff were super friendly and lovely. Food was also great. We were really pleasantly surprised, as we weren't expecting such a great stay in a Marstons!

Stayed here for 2 nights to attend a family wedding up the road. Our room was lovely, clean and spacious. The bed was so comfy. We had tea in the restaurant on our first night and the food was great, well worth booking a meal if you are staying over. The staff have been welcoming and friendly. I would absolutely stay here again and look forward to coming back!

Overall everything was good. On the down side. The towel rail i. the bathroom was coming off the wall. The top fittings not up to the job. When mentioned to housekeeping i was told the problem wasn't new and it had been reported before. Infact it was a problem in other rooms.

Stayed for one night, Saturday in July. The whole premises have recently gone through a big refurb and it really shows. A well laid out pub with dining areas, numerous different areas to eat and drink. Very friendly and attentive bar team. Dined the Saturday night. Not really a gastro pub ( I guess its not trying to be). Decent food all the same. Stayed in room 1. Nicely furnished with a good sized bathroom. Had everything needed for a comfortable stay. Great choice for breakfast. Lovely warm pastries. Would I recommend a stay here? - In short, Yes. A nice place to base yourself with everything you needed. A short drive from Bakewell. Check out their own website for room bookings as you get 20% of your food bill.

The staff were very attentitive and friendly. The food was nice we had lunch and breakfast here. The room was ideal for our requirements. We would come back again.

Fabulous warm welcome, the staff were all lovely. We stayed 2 nights for a walking break and it suited our needs perfectly due to the location. Exceptionally clean. Tv didnt work due to a storm but was fixed as soon as we mentioned it. Food was great but the breakfast dissapponting. Some odd banging noises in the room which stopped about 10pm. You are staying over a country pub so dont expect it to be quiet. The facitities in the room were great. Overall we absolutely loved it, would recomend and would love to visit again.

Nice country inn, no real ales which was disappointing; staff very good, Sunday roast very good.8 min bus to Bakewell.
