Wonderful place with wonderful people. The food was great and the room was spotless.

Nice room No1 clean and tidy with large bathroom, evening meal was good and the breakfast was excelent

I stayed at the grouse and claret and had a wonderful stay for 4days the staff were well presented and helpful.the room we stayed in was large and comfortable but could do with a bit of tlc. However this would not stop me from recommending this place to anyone else and will definitely be booking again soon.

Beautiful place to stay

Excellently located on the A6 and close by the Peak District national park. Good meal options and comfortable rooms.

A very pleasant stay. Room was very clean and a great size. Bed was comfy, we slept very well. We had dinner in the restaurant which was very nice.

Great reception upon arrival, booking in process was quick and we were shown to our room. Room was clean, and fairly spacious. Bed was comfy. Desk was suitable for working from. Meal was excellent and service was friendly and attentive

We booked in here as it was so convenient to Bamfords auctions and we needed to pick up an item we had purchased and we live a long way away. The hotel was welcoming and clean and staff were helpful. We would not stay again though! Room 1 was noisy all night first because it was over the kitchens but even when kitchens shut there was a boiler like noise all night and the room was cold, only heating was a heater in a timer which was off when we arrived and room was only 14degrees. No instructions but eventually managed to get the heater on but took ages to make any difference and it went off again whilst we were at dinner so room was cold again when we went back to it after! Heater would not stay on and even the staff did not know how to set it so it did. The bathroom was so cold it was unpleasant.sadly this completely spoiled our stay.
