MainStay Suites Williamsburg Historic Area

The place was very dirty. My room looked old and I think people lived in the hotel because some room doors were decorated with wreaths, etc and you could smell food was cooking. The elevator broke and I was on the third floor, so I took the closest stairs to leave and when I got to the bottom the door was locked leading outside. I had to take all my luggage back upstairs and find another stairwell, then it led me outside to the back and complete opposite end from the parking lot. Would not recommend.

Room issues, dirty sheets, unmade bed, broken AC and they knew it, no hair dryer, door swipe lock doesn't read cards and they knew it, elevator was out of order. I went through two room and the problems just got worse!

Not the cleanest. Stale odor of cigarette smoke throughout.
