MainStay Suites Williamsburg Historic Area

We had no remote for the television. There were a couple of bugs in the bathroom and sleeping space. Barely any kitchen utensils. Water damage noted throughout the entire room. Staff was friendly. The space was adequate but it needs a major overhaul.

10/10 do NOT recommend. The lobby area is nice and clean and the front staff were extremely friendly but that’s where the praises stop. The hallways smell of cigarettes and mold. The supposedly clean white sheets and pillows on the beds are stained with who knows what kind of bodily fluids. Dead bugs in random corners throughout the hotel. Microwave in my room that did not work and a stove in my family members room that did not work. Iron but no ironing board. Tv in room but no tv remote. Rust stains everywhere from floor to ceiling. Cleanliness is not a priority at this establishment

Location was great and staff at check out was great!

Smelled like marijuana in the halls right off the elevator, refrigerator didn’t work, AC was horrible it was on high and never got it cooler than 3 degrees in the room from the time we entered until we left.

The staff went over and beyond. It was wonderful experience and would recommend to anyone. I would definitely come back and suggested the same room. It was a great time, and didn’t want to leave.

Do not recommend. Entire place smells of cigarettes, no pillow cases on pillows, lock on door broke, no shower head in shower, no cabinets on bathroom sink, mold in shower and kitchen floors, carpet is filthy.

The hotel was very dirty. Stains all over the place. Refrigerator was stained and dirty. Me towels sheets not clean false advertisement. There was no gym, even though it was advertised. As soon as you walk in, it's smelled like smoke and a non-smoking hotel. The elevator broke down the first night. I went to the front desk and asked for clean sheets.Because mine was soiled they said they didn't have any they we're all dirty

I chose the property for the kitchenette. When I arrived there was 1 plate, 1 spoon, and 1 knife, for 3 people. There were no pots or pans. There also was only 2 sets of towels for a reservation for 3. They normally have a set or two of extra towels tucked away in hotels. None here. The front desk was amazing and got me more of the items missing. But, this was something housekeeping should d o. Unless housekeeping has notified management and management chose to do nothing. The building is run down. The highlights of this property is the employees care, and there is physical space being a suite.

Room was poorly cleaned, refrigerator was dirty, no breakfast facilities as advertised, no exercise room or pool as advertised. Elevator broke and had to walk to otherside of hotel to get upstairs.
